  • Bundled up in a warm, black coat, Kaden walked slowly down the snow covered street. It was late afternoon, four at most, and still snowing as heavily as that morning. It was a few days until the new year and it was still as cold as the day it turned winter. The seventeen year old male glanced over his shoulder, his newly cut dark brown hair falling into his eyes a bit, as he heard the footsteps of another.

[You can just jump in wherever. ^^ And sorry for the short post, I wasn't sure what to put since we don't really have a plot set up yet. ; n ;]

  • Rayne awoke to the sound of her alarm clock and was instantly irritated. She had set it for eight, not four. Well, she was awake anyway. Annoyed, she threw off the covers and got dressed. As long as she wasn't going back to sleep, she figured she might as well do something productive. She threw on her thickest sweatpants and a coat, and descended onto the darkened street.

  • Kaden's expression lightened a bit when he made out the figure of a girl. He then forced himself to continue forward and forget about the young woman. His efforts only lasted a moment before he then turned around on his heels and made his way over to Rayne, his hands slowly sliding into his pockets.

  • Rayne walked through streets she didn't know, still trying to adjust to the new city she had escaped to. She plugged in her headphones and was blasting Farewell, My Love as she noticed a male figure ahead of her. She was fully prepared to ignore him, as she did everyone else, until she noticed he was staring at her. She stopped and quickly pulled out her headphones as Kaden approached her.

  • Clearing his throat slightly, the male let a small "Hiya" then mentally slapped himself, Thats the best thing you can think of?! he thought to himself angrily, then sighed,"I'm Kaden,"

  • Rayne smiled slightly, wondering why anyone would want to talk to her and still trying to wake up. "Hello. I'm Rayne" she said quietly and realized how awkward she must look in her gigantic sweatpants. She yawns quietly and stares at the shadowed boy in front of her.

  • Kaden smiled slightly before running his fingers through his hair, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Rayne," he said as he then looked up at the snowing sky, smiling.

    [Awkward. xD]

  • Rayne laughed quietly and said, "the pleasure is all mine. You're the first actual person I've met here." She sighed quietly and started trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue.

[i wonder if normal people are this awkward or just us :P ]

  • Kaden watched for a moment, raising a dark eye row, then did the same.

    [Just us. ^^
    ...
Damn. My muse for this is goin' away.]

  • Rayne never was good with awkward situations, and as she started walking closer to him, she realized just how much taller he was than her. She stood all the way up on her toes and looked him in the eye. She leaned close smiling and asked, "are you my friend?"

  • Kaden's eyes slid back to the young woman's as he smiled, leaning in and letting his nose brush against hers, "I guess so, Miss Rayne,"

  • Rayne felt extremely surprised, but it was the wonderful kind of surprise. The kind that you replay in your head and can't help but smile to. She leaned forward and quickly kissed his cheek. "So this is what it feels like to have a friend. I like it."

  • Rayne may have been blushing, not that you could tell with her face being red from the cold. But she didn't mind. The cold didn't feel so cold when you were with a friend. Then she sighed and asked awkwardly, "so, are you from around here?"

    [yay! :D ]
