she sees her mother with a gash down her throat. her eyes are open and clouded

Lilytail looks down sadly. When they were kits they used to have fun together all the time but when they were 5 moons old he tried to kill her.Their mother saw and he decided to become a loner before she could punish him. The next time she saw him he had murdered their mother.
