Sean winced. "I'm going to be fired the moment I get to work."

He sighed. "I'm not supposed to miss work unless I call in several hours beforehand."

He shook his head. "Don't call. He doesn't make exceptions."

Sean sighed. "It won't help," he warned, but gave her the number.

She called the number and walked out of the room

A tall man carefully closed his book, then picked up the phone. "This is James Williams. May I inquire as to your identity?"

" Uh hi this is Glacier I'm Sean's girlfriend …" she said awkwardly

"Sean Fletcher? Very well, state your business." He leaned back in his chair.

"Yeah umm… he hasn't gone to work the past few days…" she said

He sighed. "Look, Sean is not the type to make his girlfriend call to make excuses for him. Therefore, I will assume that either you are not who you say you are, or that you have forced my phone number out of him so you could call me and ask why his job has been terminated. Am I correct?"
