He nods, walking over and sitting down next to her.

[Center][font=georgia][color=black]When he sat near her, Alex felt that wanting to try again, to get close again and not push away and probably hope he didn't point it out, but held her closer. But she stayed planted where she was, even when their arms brushed. Not purposefully. "So, where did you come from?" she asked casually, just trying to make conversation.
-
He just shook his head and said, "It's best to let sleeping dogs lie."
-
[Center][font=georgia]Alex looked at him, confusion crossing her face. She got the dumb idiom, yes, but why the hell wouldn't he tell her anything about him? It kind of offended her, kind of hurt her, but only left her wanting to know. Wanting to know more about him. Wanting to know all. And she was being so honest with him. But she couldn't stop herself from asking questions that kept stirring that she wanted, no need ed, to know. "Who did you come here with?" she demanded, turning to face him this time, her eyes needing to know.
-
"No one."
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] At his answer, Alex's eyes narrowed suspiciously. She leaned in closer, her eyes growing more needing. "Who did you see Change, then?" She asked him, her voice hardening. As she thought about it, she thought about the date... November second, maybe?
-
"You really don't need to know and I don't want to relive the past so drop it."
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex's temper instantly dropped and she turned away, sighing heavily. "Fine... let's just drop it then." She said in a mocking tone. She bit her tongue from saying anything elsr, but she did think he didn't trust her. Eventually she stood up, moving her hair that was loose from the bun out of her face. "I think I'll be going for a small stroll..." she mumbled, taking a flashlight from her parka.
-
"Before you go, it's not that I don't trust you. I trust you with my life... It's just I don't like talking about my... err... past," he said with complete honesty. He did trust her with his life, he just didn't want to talk about it.
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex nodded. She sensed his truth and took a deep breath. "I believe you." She said quietly. "Call if you need me. I won't go far, maybe look for a stream or something to fill our canteen bottles and fish. Luckily I have a fishing rod." She gave a small halfsmile. "Do you have a map maybe?" She asked, not wanting to sound annoying. [b]"I just lost the map to my crazed brother."
-
He shook his head, "Sorry... I don't even know where I am let alone do I have a map."
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex raised an eyebrow. "You don't know your in an National Park?" she asked and shook her head. "Hopefully the Ranger's Station has one and hopefully they got their electricity working again." She murmured and headed towards the trees. She turned towards him once more before walking again.
-
He watched her for a moment before returning his gaze to the fire.
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black]Alex continued forward, her flashlight moving around, her bloodhound senses searching for any roadkill scent of the changed: none. She sighed with relief, hoping to find a river or something. But instead she heard a whimper. She froze and turned, realizing she forgot her gun in her parka. She then heard a faint bark. Barks weren't always a good thing... wolves maybe, wolves could be hungry. Then as she edged closer she saw a young girl and looked around. No roadkill scent just... fear. "H-Hun?" she asked. "Are you okay?"
[You can be the little girl if you want. I thought it'd be a good idea to add another survivor to the plot and be a younger girl with a dog. 8 or 9 yrs old if that's okay?]
-
OOC: Alright I guess
IC: She didn't hear her and continued to stare out into nothing, back to Alex.
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex looked at the girl, confusion clouding her eyes. The dog, a german shepherd mixed, or something, curled up next to the little girl and whimpered. Alex looked around with her flashlight and then back at the young girl. "Are you hurt? Can you walk?" she questioned.
-
She still didn't seem to notice her and continued to do nothing but sit there.
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex was so confused. Why wasn't the girl not answering. Alex, with her short temper, was starting to loose it and she narrowed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Maybe the young girl was tramatized? In shock? She looked around, wondering if it was a good idea to call for Tyler. "Can you stay right there, sweetie?" She asked, knowing the girl wouldn't answer but ran for Tyler as fast as she could. "Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. There's a girl... nine or ten, and young."
-
He looked over at her and asked, "What? Is she a... You know..."
-
[align=center][font=georgia][color=black] Alex shook her head. "Tyler she seems in shock. Can you maybe, help me get her?" She asked, flashing the flashlight across his face. "Maybe we can bring her along. She seems no harm, in fact, she kind of looks like a younger version of me with lighter blonde hair." Alex smiled a bit sheephishly and turned, leading the way back towards the trees, sniffing the air for any sign of Changed but no scent of roadkill. She hoped the girl wasn't gone.
