Micah shushed her, flicking her muzzle with his tai, a playful glint in his eye. Quickly he turned back to the cotton-ball tail bouncing in front of him, the rabbit attached completely unaware of it's stalker.

Boulderfur watched as silently as she could, her tail flicking in anticipation. Soon, though, the pungent scent of gopher came to her nose. Their must have been a field near by. Boulderfur quickly and stealthily slid away without Micah noticing; she had her own prey to catch. She followed her nose down to a hedge that lined a grassy field, nose twitching. The scent was stronger.
-
Micah pouncec on the rabbit, killing it quickly. He turned around, proud of his catch, but when he didn't see Boulderfur, he sat down nervously, waitng for her to come back
-
Boulderfur's nose twitched. She crept forward, ignoring the thorns clawing at her pelt. She spotted a plump brown body a couple tail lengths away just beyond the hedge, nibbling on an acorn (dunno what gophers eat). Checking that she was downwind, she slid forward, hind quarters waggling, and pounced. Boulderfur killed the gopher quickly, pride in her eyes. Her first catch as a loner! Tail in the air, she trotted back to where Micah was. "Sorry if you missed me," She meowed, "But looked what I caught!" She nudged the gopher.
-
Micah smirked. "A little thin...." he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
-
Boulderfur sniffed at his rabbit. "A little scrawny," She shot back indignantly, and stifled the urge to tackle him. "I worked hard for this so-called thin gopher. My first prey as a loner!" Her eyes sparkled. "Now, we can't just stand around insulting each other's catches. let's eat!" She leaned forward and grasped Micah's rabbit in her jaws, tearing at it hungrily.
-
Micah smiled and took a big bite of her gopher, letting an appreciative purr out of his throat. The meat was still warm, and the gopher was plump from weeks of good eating during new leaf
-
Boulderfur smacked her lips when she had finished. "Not bad!" She teased, flicking her tail. "What next?"
-
Micah shrugged. "Well, what do you want to do as a loner?"
-
"Well...." Suddenly, the blandness of it all hit her. The life of a loner was empty. Survive, eat, sleep. The only thing that kept her determined to lead that life was Micah. But...what was there to do? If she wasn't hunting for food, she would be eating it. If she wasn't eating it, she would be sleeping and dreaming about it. Oh, what was the point? Still, she forced herself to not think like that. "Hmm...we could, maybe, explore? i think there's an abandoned twoleg nest somewhere around here...."
-
Micah nodded, but he noticed the quick moment of defeat in Mountainjay's eyes. He tried to ignore it, but uncertainty clawed at his heart. I don't wnat to trap her here. If she is staying here unhappily, then she should go back to her clan. Thats where she belongs, and... she should probably go back.
-
ooc; oops, you said Mountainjay! Er...It's Boulderfur...
Boulderfur looked away for a second. "Well, should we explore? or am I right about the twoleg nest at all? I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't." She purred, but ended up choking on her own purr.
-
ooc: awwwwwkkkkkwwwwaaaarrrdddd......
Micah forced a smile on his face, and trailed his tail along her fur. "Lets go check it out!"
-
Yeh, u got that right!
Boulderfur grinned, "Come on!" and bounded off in the direction where she thought the twoleg nest was.
-
Micah followed her, even though he knew she was going in the wrong direction. Slowly, while running, he kept leaning towards hte left, and tried to readjust their course.
-
ooc: Why doesn't he just TELL her she's goin in the wrong direction?
Boulderfur, after a while, noticed Micah's movements. She stopped. "Stop leaning like that!" She complained, "It's annoying!"
-
ooc: dk. He's a loner- he's unpredicatable!
Micah frowned and stopped as well. "Sorry." he said apologetically. "But, if I were you, I may want to head in that direction." he said with a slight smirk, pointing in a 90 degre turn from where they were facing
