Micah smirked and unsheathed his claws playfully. "oh really?" he challenged with a grin. "I don't think so!"

"Well, you better think so!" Boulderfur lunged at Micah, tackling him. But when she hit the water, she sprang up and raced to the bank, shivering. She gazed at Micah, embarrassed. "D-don't you think I'm whimpy or anything, It's just...well, I don't like water. And it's cold!" She shuffled back towards thee stream, eying Micah cautiously. But she couldn't supress a grin.
-
Micah laughed, paddling around in the river, his strong arms countering the current. "Oh, really, kitty?" he said with a grin, hopping out of the water, chasing her towards the river. "I think it's time you learned how to swim!"
-
Boulderfur stared at him, shocked. "...You wouldn't dare!" She ran and tried to swerve around the river.
-
Imicah smirked and with a devious grin shoved her in. "I would dare!" he laughed
-
Boulderfur growled and twisted around before hitting the water, so now she was behind Micah, charging him towards the stream. "The tables have turned, Mr. Pussy! That's what you get for chasing a poor defenseless kitty to her doom!" She laughed, batting at his tail.
-
Micah laughed and dove into the river, pulling her tail with him, trying to get her in the water. "It's fine! It feels like the suns rays of your fur...."
-
Boulderfur yowled and crashed into the river, bobbing up next to Micah. She spluttered. "You savage piece of-" Then she stopped, realizing what Micah had said. "The sun rays of my fur?" She murmered, "What do you mean?" All of a sudden the water didn't seem so cold and dangerous.
-
Micha blushedslightly, but the glow was masked by his fur. "It was just a comparison." he said witha grin. "and overall you. But look! You are swimming." he said, motioning at her churning paws with his nose.
-
Her eyes widened and she looked down, hardly believing her eyes when she saw that she was floating. Boulderfur laughed and started swimming. "I am! How 'bout that?" She paddled around a little more before clawing her way on to the shore. "Still, water's not for me...I've got the wrong fur. After a while it soaks through and I get all heavy." she shook out her fur, making sure some of the water droplets splattered on Micah.
-
Micah made a face as the water hit him, but then smirked and barreled into her, getting ehr wet again. "Whoops." he laughed, rolling off of her and onto hte ground by her side. "I think you have the wrong attitutde. You won't sink."
-
Boulderfur tried to act grumpy. "Attitude, huh?" She pounced on Micah and wrestled him to the ground. She growled playfully in his ear. "Take that back!"
-
"Nope!" he mewed gleefully, the dust turning to a dry mud on his wet fur. He trust himself upwards, and soon their positions were reversed. He smiled as he looked down at her gleaming fur, the _____ hues of her fur ruffling slightly in the wind. For the first time, he realized how stunning she truly was. He wrenched his gaze from hers and bounded away, partially playfully and partially in an attempt to clear his mind
-
"So i guess you do surrender!" Boulderfur laughed, and chased after him, but stopped when she heard rustling in the bushes.
-
Micah watched her from behind a bush, then tensed when he saw her stop. What's wrong?
-
Before Boulderfur's eyes, Petalfrost stepped out from the bushes onto the sandy bank. She grinned with no humor, a tight grin serving to conceal her inner rage. "Boulderfur...I followed you here, when I saw you leave. I knew you were up to something. And who's this?" She peered cautiously at Micah over Boulderfur's shoulder, and Boulderfur could see her unsheathe her claws.
-
Micah pushed foreword, skimming against Boulderfur's fur, unsheathing his claws midstep. "I could ask you the same thing." he growled. "What are you doing here?"
-
Petalfrost glared at him. "I am Boulderfur's sister. And I'm here to bring her home. She shouldn't be hanging out with rouges. She has more loyalty to her clan then that!" Petalfrost laid her tail on her sister's shoulder and began to draw Boulderfur away from Micah. But Boulderfur flinched away. "No," Boulderfur growled. "You can't tell me what to do. I'm going to stay with Micah, whether you like it or not!" Her fur bristled and she drew closer to Micah.
"So that's his name. The great and mighty Micah!" Petalfrost mocked. "Now leave my sister alone, you fleabag, or you'll pay!" -
Micah growled and launched himself at Petalfrost, tearing at her fur, biting at her ear, unable to contain his anger
-
Petalfrost screamed, and clawed wildly at her attacker.
Boulderfur watched in shock. Her heart tore in two. Where did her loyalty really lie? With, Micah, or with her clan and sister? She clenched her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut. Still, no matter who she was loyal to, she could not let her sister be ripped to shreds. Dashing forward, Boulderfur grasped Micah's haunches, her claws barely pricking his flesh. "No!" She screamed, "Stop! Both of you!"
