  • Cinnamon was relaxing on her pool float, wearing her designer sunglasses, and trying to keep cool. The temperature outside was exactly 95 degrees. WAY too hot for Cinnamon. She tried telling her owner to turn the heat 'off'. But they wouldn't listen. Dumb Humans, they don't know anything. Cinnamon rolled over. She didn't WANT to get wet, but that was the only way out of the pool. So she rolled lazily off the float and swam gracefully to the other side. She shook out her fur and trotted across the patio and into her little doggie-door.
Once inside, Cinnamon dried off under her automatic hair dryer. And went to her room to change for the 5th time today. I need to look good if I'm going to the beach. she thought as she checked herself in the mirror. She was now wearing a light pink bikini for dogs, her favorite diamond-studded sunglasses, and wearing stylish sash over her shoulder that held her phone, and wallet. (lol) "Ready to go!" she told herself out loud. And she was off to the beach!

  • Sam, known as 'Prince' by his owner, strode over to the door that led to the backyard. Although they were new to the neighborhood, it wouldn't hurt to check out what he could find in the large expanse they called their yard. The Anatolian Shepherd male lifted his muzzle, grabbed the handle in his jaws, and tugged, opening the sliding door easily as though he himself had fingers. He stepped into the backyard, feeling a sudden heat roll over his back and into the house. Same quickly shuts the door and pads outside, scenting the salt water of the ocean and the smell of other dogs.

Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck
Some nights I call it a draw
Some nights I wish that my lips could build a castle
Some nights I wish they'd just fall off

But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh, Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for oh
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nights I don't know anymore...
Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, oh,
Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, oh

This is it, boys, this is war - what are we waiting for?
Why don't we break the rules already?
I was never one to believe the hype
Save that for the black and white
I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked,
But here they come again to jack my style

    That's alright;
I found a martyr in my bed tonight
She stops my bones from wondering just who I am, who I am, who I am
Oh, who am I? Mmm... Mmm...

Well, some nights I wish that this all would end
'Cause I could use some friends for a change.
And some nights I'm scared you'll forget me again
Some nights I always win, I always win...

But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh, Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for, oh
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nights I don't know... (oh, come on)

So this is it. I sold my soul for this?
Washed my hands of that for this?
I miss my mom and dad for this?

    (Come on)

No. When I see stars, when I see, when I see stars, that's all they are
When I hear songs, they sound like this one, so come on.
Oh, come on. Oh, come on. Oh, come on!

Well, that is it guys, that is all - five minutes in and I'm bored again
Ten years of this, I'm not sure if anybody understands
    This one is not for the folks at home;
Sorry to leave, mom, I had to go
Who the fuck wants to die alone all dried up in the desert sun?

My heart is breaking for my sister and the con that she call "love"
When I look into my nephew's eyes...
Man, you wouldn't believe the most amazing things that can come from...
    Some terrible lies... ah...

Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, oh,
Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh, oh

The other night you wouldn't believe the dream I just had about you and me
I called you up but we'd both agree

It's for the best you didn't listen
It's for the best we get our distance... Oh...
It's for the best you didn't listen
It's for the best we get our distance... Oh...

  • Takota slipped out of her dog door and padded towards the beach. She wasn't one to be fancy, d definitely not one to wear ANY sort if human type clothes. She picked up her pace a bit, and when she got to the beach she heade straight to the water. Her powerful legs made her a great swimmer and her thick, waterproof fur made it lighter in the water.

  • The Anatolian Shepherd looks at the speaking dog and smiles a bit. "Well, we just moved here." He replies in his slightly accented voice, ears perked to listen for a reply of any kind. Sam heard the ocean's waves crash against each other and the rocks that ran along the shore to block any flooding water.

  • Victoria was grooming her long furry paws. She finished one last stroke of her tongue, and placed her paw back on the pool edge.

  • Takota saw the two dogs talking and padded over to them, shaking out her red and white fur. "Hi, I'm Takota." she greeted Sam flatly. She woudln't be quick to trust him yet, even though she detected no signs of danger.

  • Sam looks over to Takota now, bowing his head in a kind reply. "Hi Takota, nice name." He says with a friendly tone. "I'm Sam, and you?" He looks back at Sakura.

  • Takota was taken aback by his compliment, and smiled slightly, but then quickly shook her head to clear it. The female Alaskan Malamute flicked her ear in irritation that she couldn't get rid of the happiness she felt from his words.

  • The male waited patiently for a reply, his faint smile not leaving his face for even a nanosecond.

  • "Sorry I was thinking. Welcome." She spoke then nudged him playfully.
She then lay down. And then sat up. Her collar was shinning.

  • Sam smiled wider. "Thanks." He stayed standing yet.

  • Takota looked at them, then at the water. "Anyone up for a swim?" she asked Sam and Sakura, her tail giving a weak wag.

  • The Anatolian Shepherd shrugs a bit. "A little water never hurt."

  • Sam looks over to Sakura and hands her a smile. "Are you coming?"
