    Hawkstrike walked over to Venomstar "hello Venomstar." He was stil limping slightly."

    Viperstar opened one eye,then the other,lifting his head.The thoughts that went on in his head slowed to just a couple simple thoughts,"yes??"


    Ripplevenom flicked her tail,which swayed back and forth.Her gaze flicked from Hawkstrike,then to Viperstar,then back to Hawkstrike.

    Leafpaw scented the air again, then backed away in terror. "Fox!" She shrieked, her fur bristling.

    Viperstar turned to Ripplevenom,who then tasted theair.Ripplevenom had a very strong sense of smell.She nodded,and Viperstar got his paws.Shadestrike then got to his paws and trotted over,following Viperstar,Ripplevenom out of camp.

    A mother fox with two cubs rounded up on her, snarling. Leafpaw gasped. She must've gone too close to the cubs. Leafpaw hissed and raked her claws down the mother fox's muzzle. The fox stood there, dazed for a second, then the fox lunged for Leafpaw. Leafpaw shrieked. "HELP!" As she frantically raked her claws down the fox's face.

    Ripplevenom sped to a run,pulling ahead of her brother and Shadestrike.But instead of leaping directly at the fox,she circled around,her pelt disapearing into the bushes.Then,she leaped,sailing through the air before crashing into the mother's side.Before she fell,she dug in her claws and hung on,biting and raking the best she could.

    Leafpaw almost sank to her paws with relief when she saw the other cats come to help. Gathering her strength, the lunged at the mother fox, sinking her fangs into the fox's chest, her fans so close to the heart that they vibrated with every beat.

    Hawkstrike latched onto the mother fox's back with his claws and fangs.

    The mother fox gathered up her cubs, and fled the territory, laving a crimson trail behind her.

    Leafpaw gasped. "She's gone!"

    "And if she comes back we'll kill her." He walked back to camp and laid next to Blackeagle.

    "Come on",Viperstar meowed,his voice ringing around the small clearing,"lets get back to camp.There's a Gathering tonight,and i need to let the Clan know who's going".He turned and began padding back to camp,Ripplevenom and Shadestrike a tail lenghth behind him.

    "Im not going,am i??",Ripplevenom asked,now walking next to Viperstar.Viperstar shook his head,his fiery green eyes blazing in the setting sun,"and neither is Blackeagle.i thought you could stay and guard the camp."."Who else is going??",Shadestrike asked,knowing that he was going."Leafpaw,Paintedbreeze.Hawkstrike was limping earlier,so he cant go..",Viperstar murmured,padding into camp.

    Hawkstrike jumped up into a tree killing a bird just as they walked in he jumped back down from the tree giving the bird to Blackeagle.


    (he's always had the limp but it shows more when he over works his leg)

    Viperstar looked thoughtful as he padded over to his den.Ripplevenom and Shadestrike touched noses,then parted,going different ways.Viperstar leaped up onto his den,"Let All Cats Old Enough To Catch Their Own Prey Join Here Beneath Highrock For A Clan Meeeting".His smooth,somewhat deep,cool voice rang around the camp.


    Ripplevenom already knew what he was going to talk about,so she just padded into the warrior den,her tail dragging on the ground.She hadnt been to a Gathering for a while,and wanted to go,but she understood why.She knew Viperstar didnt want to show favoritism towards her because she was his sister,and start trouble.


    Shadestrike watched Ripplevenom as he sat down.He twitched one ear,then looked back up at Viperstar,his tail flicking above the ground.

    Snowfeather (Dx forgot about her!) padded to highrock, her belly swollen with kits.

    Scarlettfur padded under highrock, her eyes gleaming.

    "Tonight is a Gathering.Scarletfur,Frostgaze,Silverpaw,Hawkstrike,Shadestrike,and Jaggedfears are going",Viperstar announced,his tail swaying behind him.

    Scarlettfur's gaze brightened. She flicked her tail, then padded after her leader.
