• Demonkissed plucked a few strands of rush out of the herb stock and tossed it over to Lightpaw wordlessly, then turned back to Mandykit.
"What symptoms are you having, exactly? Do not leave anything out, so I can treat as much as possible."

[sup]"Runny nose, sore throat, cough, chest pain," Mandykit listed obediently, nodding her head solemnly as she recited each symptom.

  • poppy seed, tansy, feverfew

Demonkissed nodded. Those were common enough, or rather their remedies were.
"I'm going to give you two poppy seeds for the pain, some tansy for the cough, and feverfew for the overall cold. Stay in the nursery and rest for a few days, then come back if you don't get any better," the serval instructed, fetching said herbs and holding them out to the kit.

[sup]"Ooh, okay, Miss Demonkissed. I'm not gonna die, right?" Mandykit asked, looking up at Demonkissed. Of course she wasn't going to die; she had seen cats be diagnosed with much more serious illnesses than she had and still live. Still, if I don't listen to Miss Demonkissed... I'll have to follow whatever she tells me to do! Mandykit thought.
• Demonkissed snorted.
"Don't be stupid. Of course you're not going to die. Just do as I've told you. Eat the herbs and take it easy. We do not want that cough to develop into something worse."

  • Aloekit blinked at Lightpaw, taking in the symptoms the medicine apprentice had discovered (along with the symptoms she'd confirmed as not being there) and thought hard about it. It was logical, made sense. A perfect equation. Whilst the fluffy white kit was self-conscious about her appearance, she still cared for brains, and the way Lightpaw had figured it all out confirmed that medicine cats required just that: intelligence. Without it, their job would have to be a whole lot harder.

[sup]"Okay, good," Mandykit meowed, then bent over the said herbs and licked them up off the ground.

  • Demonkissed watched, her cold yellow eyes remaining expressionless, then nodded in satisfaction as the last of the herbs disappeared down Mandykit's throat.
"Good girl. Now off to the nursery with you. Keep the activity to a minimum until you feel better."

[sup]"Yes Miss!" Mandykit stated, nodding and carefully treading out of the medicine den.

Lightpaw caught the rush, and wrapped it somewhat tightly, but not too tightly, around Pinepaw's paw. "Does it feel comfortable?" She asked, concerned.

The delicate kitten was still watching, wide-eyed and totally inspired. Medicine cats were amazing - they assessed the problem and fixed it, by healing the cat and telling them what they needed to do. It was such an essential part of Clan lifestyle, and yet somehow still a thing some cats took for granted. Without medicine cats, Aloe couldn't think of what HawkClan would be like, other than a complete and utter wreck. Injured cats everywhere with no-one knowing how to help, problems that couldn't be fixed. It would be disastrous.

  • When Lightpaw wrapped the Rush around his paws, he tried to move it, failing. That was good, so it was secure. But he could also feel his paw clearly, as well as feel the pain that was still present there. "Feels good, Lightpaw, thanks," he purred, winking. "This won't hold me back. I'll make sure to rest it but I'll be good soon," the red tabby tom declared. "Will the pain still feel like this? Do you have any poppy seeds that I can come take every day or every other day?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/5e6v4K8.jpg); width: 450px; height: 350px; border-radius: 5em 0em 5em 5em; border: 5px white; font-family: Verdana; color: black; text-align: center;]

Lightpaw nudged a single poppy seed towards him. "It should relieve the pain."

  • Pinepaw nodded thankfully to Lightpaw, the tom smiled. "Thank you." Lapping up the poppy seed, the feline dipped his head and turned on his heel to walk out of the den, favoring his paw.

  • Stepping into the spacious den, the fawn calico was bleeding from her head, left shoulder, right flank, and both of her front paws. She had her daughter, Sweetnothing supporting her at her side. Louvreart was slightly dizzy and her eyes were hazy as she sat down in the middle of the den.

  •
Aloe's eyes widened as the she-cat padded in, glancing worriedly toward the medicine cats and apprentice. She was confident that they could sort it out and make the former deputy all better again, but it was still a disturbing and worrying sight.

Lightpaw inhaled sharply when she saw Louvreart. She still blamed herself for the former deputy's near death, and this was serious. Looking around for marigold, she quickly applied it to the worst wounds-- the head and the paws. "Sweetnothing, I'm gonna need your help. You can lay her down in the nest right there." Lightpaw flicked her tail to a nest that was empty nearby.

  • Sweetnothing nodded and helped Louvreart lay in the neat. When Louvre lay down, she lay on her stomach, because she knew that if she lay on her right flank, it would hurt her rib and if she lay on her left shoulder, it would, well, hurt her shoulder. She had to lay her chin on her paw because she was getting dizzy and her head fekt suddenly very heavy.

"I feel dizzy and naseuas if that means anything."

[she's going to have a concussion, a dislocated left shoulder and two broken ribs ^^ ]
