Gracie laughed softly. "Well that's great to hear." She put her head on his shoulder and sighed. She started to hum quietly as he walked.

He humms along, stopping to grab his back pack.
"Hold it for me, would ya?" -
She nodded, and put it over one shoulder. She then wrapped her arm around his neck again, hoping not to choke him. "What is your house like?" Gracie asked, a little curious.
-
"It's small and kinda worn down. But it's nice. It's pale blue with a darker blue trimming. We have a little flower garden in the back yard and a baby cherry tree in the frount of the house." He smiles.
-
"That sounds nice." She said cheerly. She looked around at the different houses on the street. "I can't wait to see your mom again, to be honest." Gracie said quietly.
-
"...You might not." He says softly. "She sleeps alot. And even when's she awake, she's usually too weak to get out of bed."
-
"Oh." Gracie went quiet and sighed. "Well, that's okay. She needs to have her rest." If Gracie could've, she would have hugged him right there but he was giving her a piggy back ride so she couldn't.
-
"It's alright. I'll make her something to eat as well, and you can help me give her her medicene."
-
"Okay." Gracie agreed, and had a small smile on her face. "What are you going to do when she.." Gracie trailed off.
-
He flinches, but he keeps walking.
"...I was sell the house and leave." -
"Leave where?" She asked, a little more quietly. Gracie couldn't think of him leaving. Her grasp tensed around his neck for a second, but then relaxed again.
-
"Didn't know. Still don't." He frowns. "...But now..." He stops, looking back at her and smiling faintly. "...I have a reason to stay."
-
Gracie felt the heat rise in her face and she smiled. "Well, I won't hold you back from anything. If you wanted to leave than, you can." She buried her face in his shoulder and sighed.
-
"I have nowhere to go, though. But maybe if...someone came with me....I wouldn't mind leaving this place behind."
-
"I would go anywhere you'd go." She whispered, a smile played onto her lips. "Not to be stalkerish or anything." She frowned. "But I'd follow you to the ends of the Earth."
-
He smiles, blushing.
"...Thank you." -
"No need." She mumbled, and then soon saw the house he described. "Is that it?" Gracie asked, pointing at the house.
-
He nods, setting her down on the porch to open the door. It opened with a slight creak, and he turned back, smiling.
"Come on in." -
She walked into the small house and looked around. She wrapped her arms around Dan, and smiled. "It's a little small." She murmured, happy about it. "It's much better than my house."
-
"As do I." He grins, leading her to the kitchen.
