  • He smiles, before saying.
"Once upon a time, in a land between the sea and the desert, a princess was born. She was a kind and gracfull and beautiful girl, and loved by everyone in the kingdom."

  • "That's wonderful." She murmured, closing her eyes and leaning her head against his chest.

  • He smiled, putt his head on hers and continuing the story.
"Her closest friend was a servant boy in the castle. Despite the distance in their social classes, they were allowed to spend all their time together. They'd play in the Willow field, day after day, and they were happy."

  • "Do they fall in love?" She asked, her voice quiet as her eyes were now open and staring at his shirt.

  • "That's cute." She giggled, staring back up at him. "But wait, a princess and a servant can't be together?"

  • "I haven't finished the story yet, have I?" He says, before continuing.
"One day, shortly after the girl came of age, her Father decided that she was ready to be married to the prince of the nearby kingdom. Horrified that her parents would do this, she and the servant boy, who'd become a valiant young man, made a plan to run away together."

  • "I would have done that too." Gracie whispered, putting her head back against his chest.

  • "But, as it would seem, they're plan was never meant to work. With the help of a Witch, the prince of the other kingdom, who'd fallen deeply in love with the princess, slipped her a potion that made her forget all about her Love."

  • "What?!" That's awful!" Gracie screeched, putting her hands up over her mouth.

  • "S-Sorry.." She whispered, staring up at him waiting for more of the story.

  • He smiled warmly at her.
"Don't worry." He cleared his throat, continuing.
"A few days go by, and after many hardships, the Servant boy is able to find the cure to the Prince's evil memory lost potion. With his love restored, they confrounted the Prince. His plan revealed, his was banished from the kingdom, and he lost his crown. Finally seeing how much their daugther loved the boy, they decided to allow them to be together. They married the next day, and went on to have a little girl and boy of their own...." He stopped, kissing her nose. "And they lived Happily Ever After."

  • "Happily Ever After.." She murmured, putting a hand on his cheek. "Heh~" Gracie reached up and kissed him.

  • She ran a hand through his hair, a smile appearing on her face.

  • Gracie stared at him, going silent. She had a slight blush in her cheeks.

  • "Nothing.." She whispered, Gracie snuggled up against him. "I wonder if we'll get a Happily Ever After.."
