    Eagletalon was taking a walk with her three kits when she saw the poor scrap. Motherly instinct made her gasp. She picked up the starved kit and brought it to the camp. Her two older kits who were usually energetic and disobedient sensed the need to listen to their mother for the poor kits' sake. She slipped into the nursery and licked the kit's fur until it was warm. Soon Eagletalon saw his eyes flickering open.

    "You're safe, little one, and right now that's all that matters. Are you old enough to eat fresh-kill? If not, I still have milk."

    "No, don't sit up. Lay down. I'll send Storkkit to get you a mouse." Eagletalon mewed. Storkkit dashed off and returned a moment later with a plump vole that was still warm. She dropped it at Eagletalon's paws. "Are you strong enough to chew, little one?" Asked Eagletalon.

    Eagletalon cringed. Only starving cats ate the eye. "Would you like some rest, or should I introduce my kits to you first?"

    Silverwave, another queen, was lying asleep in the nursery, a strange scent reached her nose, causing her to wake up. She saw a tiny skinny kit with a strange scent. She glanced at her own kits and quietly mewed, as not to wake up her kits. "Where did he come from?"

    Eagletalon glared aat her. "Does it matter? I don't even know to be honest! I don't even know his name!" She hissed. She turned back to the he-kit. "My name's Eagletalon."

    Eagletalon regretted her outburst, but she couldn't bring herself to apologize.

    Eagletalon smiled. "What a lovely name." She picked up one of her kits and placed it in front of him. "This is my oldest, Dovekit." Dovekit smiled at Wolf That Chases Rainbows. "I'm the oldest!" She boasted. Eagletalon turned away and picked up another kit. She placed it in front of Wolf once more. "This is Storkkit. She's my second oldest." Storkkit hissed playfully at Wolf. "I'm the fastest!" Eagletalon rolled her eyes at Storkkit as she picked up the last kit. "This is Pigeonkit. He's the only tom and he's the youngest. I'm sorry, but he probably won't talk to you now. He's very shy."

    Silverwave introduced her kits, "This is Wavekit, the oldest," She meowed, pointing to a silver and white she kit with amber eyes, "This is Rustkit," She meowed, pointing to a rusty brown she kit."The only tom is Snowykit," Silverwave meowed, "He's lively." She meowed pointing to a white tom with pale blue eyes.
    "Why do I have to be introduced last!" Snowykit complained. Wavekit and Rustkit quietly chuckled.

    "Hey, WolfThatChasesRainbowskit, wanna play?" Mewed Storkkit, bouncing around.
