The receding snow had Silverstripe in a very upbeat mood; even though she usually was happy. She loved snow as much as the next cat, or even more so, but when it left she felt a great sense of relief within her. Just yesterday she'd been assigned her first apprentice. Oh boy was she happy-go-lucky about it too. The thought of training a loyal ThunderClanner to a warrior just sent chills down her spine. Despite her horrific past - the one with lying and deceit, and the treason she got from ThunderClan herself - she was back home. Back where she belonged, and the best part was that her sisters weren't there. They didn't torment her like before, they were now the exiled ones. All of this made Silverstripe turn into a machine full of jubilation and hidden excitement. The sun was just starting to dip up into the sky, allowing the silver cat to bathe in a few moments of sunlight. Her apprentice would soon arrive, or so she hoped. Secretpaw, sounds like a wonderful name. The silver tabby thought.
She pondered upon eating or not, but found that her stomach couldn't take any food at the moment. So with a quick intake of breath to compose herself, Silverstripe trotted over to the apprentice den with a spring in her step. She quickly poked her head into see the arising figures of smaller cats. With a smile she spoke. "Good morning young ones. I'm looking for an apprentice that goes by Secretpaw, do you know where she is?" Within the brief time that Silverstripe got to know her apprentice all she really found out was that Secretpaw could be quite cocky at times. That was okay though, Silverstripe was here to turn that into one of Secretpaw's advantages in life - not a weakness.
