Mosspaws Training

    As EmberFlight led Mosspaw to a place inside The ThunderClan camp where they would start he then turned to Mosspaw "ok so what would you say is your strongest point before we even begin training then we can go from there" He mewed ready to get started.

    MossPaw was eager to train but pondered over this question. "I would have to say that hunting, yeah hunting is my best. See one time I escaped from the den when I was a kit and.. oh I'm rambling aren't I?" She looked down at her white feet, ashamed. Stupid, stupid, stupid! How could I be so stupid she thought to herself. With a gulp she looked at her mentor for a response.

    EmberFlight smiled "ok i want you to sniff out a mouse stalk it but dont kill it show me how you hunt wait for my command to kill go now" He watched as she went off to find a mouse he followed behind her.

    MossPaw sunk to the ground, her icy blue eyes searching for a mouse. Something flashed to her left. She slowly swung her head and saw, not to far away, a mouse scurrying. She slowly pulled herself forward and got ready to pounce. Her haunches wiggled as she launched herself into the air. The mouse had no time before she landed. MossPaw slammed her paw onto its tail, forcing it to stay still.

    MossPaw sunk her teeth into the small mouse, crunching its neck bone. Her pride overcame her as she beamed at her mentor. "Did you see that!? I was all like wapow! Boom dead." The young apprentice trotted around with the small mouse in her teeth. Why am I acting like this? she wondered to herself. I am never this outgoing the thoughts prodded her mind. She pushed the mouse with her nose in front of her mentor and sat down, determined to behave herself.

    EmberFlight laughed " well done eat it up you've earring it" he smiled laughing at his apprentices enthusiasm.

    MossPaw hesitated for a minute then quickly devoured the mouse. She found herself licking her lips afterwords. "So whats next?" she eagerly asked. MossPaw bounced up and down and then remembered to behave. She started licking her paws to distract herself.

    EmberFlight grinned " tracking you have to track me down by sniffing around ready?" EmberFlight asked.

    " ok go when you think I'm far enough away" he grinned and bolted off keeping off the ground to make it harder but every known again he rubbed against a tree he came across the river and swam through it leaving marks in the other side of the river he then ran on for a mile then stopped and ran into a cave and waited for the arrival of Mosspaw.

    MossPaw waited a minute then slowly followed after him. She kept her nose close to the ground trying to pick up any scent. A wave of familiar cat blew over her as she passed a tree. I'm going on the right track! she thought. She picked up her pace, now easily able to smell EmberFlight. At one point she thought she lost him, but quickly found his scent at the riverbed. Nervously MossPaw jumped into the water and swam across. She shook her coat with disgust, Great now I'm all wet. Yipee. she thought sarcastically. MossPaw found herself in a full on sprint as the live scent of EmberFlight was blown into her nose. Soon enough she found the cave and entered. "What do you think about that?" MossPaw said triumphantly.

    " impressive when we get back to the clearing you can choose what we do but no hunting seeing as we've done that" he smiled as they trotted back to the clearing.

    MossPaw sighed as she followed him no hunting what kind of rule was that? She shook it off and padded willingly back into the clearing. Thoughts raced through her mind, what should we do? Finally it hit her. She smiled as she picked up her pace and entered the clearing. "I want to learn how to fight." She said stiffly.

    EmperFlight grinned and said "ok then first we start with the surprise attack you attack when they least expect." He smiled to himself this was going to be fun.

    MossPaw readied herself, waiting, waiting. She laid down for a few minutes and watched the sun filter through the trees. Finally after 3 minutes, she raised onto her haunches and leaped. She let out a hoarse meow as she pounced onto EmberFlight.

    MossPaw paraded around her new mentor, EmberFlight. "Are you sure your ready for all of this?" with a laugh MossPaw ran to a nearby tree. She quickly scrambled up it, digging her claws in to grip on, and rested on a tree branch. She flicked her grey speckled tail and courageously crawled out to the end of a tree branch. She waited anxiously, making no sound. She took a gulp and flung herself down onto EmberFlights back.

    EmberFlight felt her land on his back " nice one geez wow it's late lets go catch some stuff for the Elders then we will continue in the morning." He said looking at the sky.

    "Sounds good to me!" MossPaw scampered off and prowled along the ground. She dug her white paws into the ground and launched herself at a nearby rabbit. She clicked its neck bone in between her jaws and padded back to EmberFlight. "One down many to go!" she chuckled and continued on her prowl.
