  • Toadstar screeched and tumbled, locking his claws into the rogues fur. Slashing at his face, he carved a large scratch across his eye. The rogue stumbled up bristling. The dark brown tabby glanced at his retreating followers. "This isn't over." he snarled. "The day you messed with us you'll wish you never have!" he hissed one last time and darted through a sedge bush.

Toadstar stood and looked around. He froze seeing two dead rogues. "Is everyone okay?" he yowled to his clanmates.

  • Sandtalon looked at Soulpaw " I don't know" she said with worry. She then licked her paw " But I bet they'll come back soon"

  • "Everyone's fine." Otterwhisker reassured Toadstar. Then realization began to dawn on her. "Was I the one who killed the two cats?" she asked hoarsely.

  • Toadstar nodded and, seeing her shocked look, gave her a lick on the shoulder. "Come on. Let's go home." he mewed, padding away from the bloody clearing.

  • Staring blankly ahead, Ottershiker walked stiffly forward, tail trailing in the dust.

  • Toadstar glanced at Otterwhisker anxiously. Padding into camp, he pushed past the questioning cats and to the tall-rock. As he leaped up, he winced at the pain of a large gash on his shoulder. "All cats who can swim across the river gather here beneath tall-rock for a clan meeting." Toadstar yowled.

  • Otterwhisker sighed. "Yes, we fought with a couple of rogues.". She flicked her tail and waited for Toadstar to speak.

  • Snakesong looked at the dead cats and looked after Otterwhisker and Toadstar as they padded away. The warrior code says that we don't have to kill our enemy to win... Otterwhisker never even gave them a chance... the horrified red she-cat thought. She padded up to the dead cats and looked them over, taking in their scent. These aren't kittypets. That still leaves the question of where the twoleg trash came from... She saw the old scars on the cats' bodies, and that they weren't well groomed or fat. She looked off in the direction that the rogue leader had run and shivered. He'll come back... And he won't be alone... Snakesong pelted back to camp, one ear keeping tabs on all the little noises behind her, just in case. As she pelted, she noticed she had some pretty bad scratches from that tom she'd fought. She'd need to get those cleaned up.

  • Snakesong padded into camp, and seeing Toadstar was on Tall-Rock, she sat down with her back against the warrior's den to listen. Her eyes darted anxiously to Otterwhisker talking to Soulpaw. Her fur lifted slightly, but she shook it off and looked back to her leader.

  • "Yes, Soulpaw. And I killed two cats. Happy?" she hissed irritably.

  • Snakesong over heard Otterwhisker, and her jaw dropped. "Soulpaw! Hey! Why don't you come sit back here with me?" She called the apprentice over, glaring at the deputy.

  • Snakesong looked worriedly at Soulpaw. "Otterwhisker didn't have a choice but to kill the rogues. Rogues don't believe in Starclan, so they don't follow the warrior code. They would have kept fighting until they killed us." She felt sick to her stomach for lying to the apprentice, but it was the only thing she knew to do right now. Even she didn't want to believe that their deputy was bloodthirsty.

  • Otterwhisker gumbled and licked her paw clean of the rogues' fur and dried blood.
