  • Shannon didn't really date anyone, but lately the idea had been.. Intriguing. It was probably because of the new girl that joined his college study group. She was kind of a mystery to him, different from most girls. The group only consisted of a few people in the technology courses. All of them were going into some sort of career, ranging from web design to programming. He, of course, was most interested in the details of computers. He built some from scratch in high school, they were an improvement on one he bought.

He was concerned the handsome nerd with the girl name. It kind of annoyed him, people should learn the history of names. Like the name Taylor, Shannon was a boy name before people started naming their daughters either of those.

Pulling his head out of the clouds, he stared at the cheap fast food joint he was supposed to be meeting his date at. He'd been waiting over half an hour for her, which wouldn't bother him if it wasn't so busy and cold in the place. He sighed and pushed his glasses up on his face, covering his ears with headphones, blasting music.

Some people found his music tastes weird. Not many of them thought he'd be interested in heavy metal or rock. One of his favorite phrases was don't judge a book by it's cover. He closed his eyes and waited for his date.

  • Gwen stepped into the restaurant. She took off her headphones and cut off *Walk the Moon*. She looked around and found him. She shared a car with her room mate Jenna but Jenna got back late from dinner with her parents. Gwen ran over and tapped Shannon on the shoulder. "I'm really sorry I'm late! My room mate wouldn't hurry up with the car." she sat down across from him. "Again. I'm really sorry I made You wait this long."

*Walk the Moon is a music group she listens to.*

  • Shannon pulled off his headphones and listened to her apologize. He gave her an easy going smile. "It's not a problem, I didn't have much planned for today. Well anything interesting at least. How are you doing Gwen?" He went through his pockets to find his wallet. The coffee here probably wouldn't be the best but a warm drink sounded good. "Can I get you anything?"

  • "Hm, fine I suppose." He put his wallet away for later, he had an idea. "That test is coming up soon and everyone's stressing about it." Shannon put a devious smile on his face. "Don't tell the group I said this but the Professor told me it's not that hard. Just something to freak the college student body over."

  • "Really? He showed us a 'copy' of it and it looked really hard. I guess that was a fake. Although, it must have some hard questions on it right?" she replied.
