    Jade sighed and wandered the streets of late-night Seattle. No one was outside, it seemed. This was a girl who was very lonely. Never been kissed. Never had a boyfriend. Pretty pathetic for a sixteen-year-old. She kicked a rock down a storm drain and kept walking.

    Dane walked to well nowhere. He was a homeless kid you walking yonder picking up money here and there. He was a black hair and and well built homeless kid. He had stormy blue eyes too. He saw Jade and smiled his heart skipped a beat when he saw her, he just had to talk to her. He walked up hands in his Levi pockets, "Hi I'm Dane, and you are?" he pulled out a hand to shake hers.

    "I'm Jade." She said with a smile, and gave his outstretched hand a firm shake. "I'm an orphan."

    "Well Jade, so am I. Where do you live cause I live everywhere." he said his adams apple jerking.

    "So do I." She laughed. "I just come and go as I please. I used to live there." Jade pointed at an apartment complex a few blocks away. "My parents were murdered. I know who did it, too. But I made it look like I was killed too so Social Services wouldn't find me." She sighed. "So how'd you end up here?"

    "Pack of wild dogs tore em to peices and i watched I got my daddy's gun and shot the leader right between the eyes." he practically growled the last part "Sorry." he said

    "I'm so sorry that happened to you." She said, patted him on the back in comfort.

    He sniffed "It's okay it ain't your fault." he said

    Jade glanced warily behind her. "I have to leave." She said. "When will I see you again?"

    :) He smiled "Soon." he smiled and left into the forest with a fox following him.

    What's with the fox.... Jade wondered, but pushed the thought away and raced away.

    IC He walked out the woods "Tod you stay I'm meeting a girl I don't want you 2 scare her off." he whispered bending down to pet him. Then ran to meet Jade.

    Jade greeted Dane with a warm smile. "Hey." She said. "When I saw you yesterday, you had a.....was it a fox with you? What was that about?"

    "Um thats kinda the only friend I have. Its pretty dumb." he blushed

    "That's not dumb. I don't have any friends." She blushed when she said that. "Um, yeah......I'm forever alone."

    "Not when "I'm here your not." he smiled and drew an arm around her shoulder

    Jade stiffened at his touch, then relaxed, putting her arm around him.

    He smiled his stormy blue eyes resting on the top of her head. "Stay with me to night at my camp." he invited.

    "Where's your camp?" Jade asked, putting her head on Dane's shoulder.

    "Let me show you!" he grabbed her hand and raced into the tree when Tod came out into veiw "here it is." It was a well built tree house with moss floor. Then there was a fire pit and pots and pans alond with spoons and tree forks, also plates and bowls.
