  • As the tom finally apolagised a small smile made its way across Snowdust's face. That was all that she had wanted to hear since he had been ignoring her. And she was glad, because she wanted to be the tom's friend too. But he had seemed a little hesitant in his reply, so maybe he was just saying it to be nice. 'Ok...' She mewed weakly, she was going to continue, but the snapping twig and Crazyflight's reaction had stopped her, then, at Pureheart's arrival she stopped altogether and the smile fell from her face as quickly as it had appeared.

As they spoke of hunting and playing she felt a feeling inside her that she could never remember feeling before. It was strange, almost as though she didn't like Pureheart being here. But she knew that she was a lovely cat and a good friend, but something about her presence unnerved her. She wanted to be with the grey tom alone, and now that the new she-cat had arrived she wasn't, his attention was focused on some other cat. Sighing she realised that she must be jeaolus. She liked the grey tom more than she was letting on and she didn't want him to like another cat more than her.

As Crazyflight began the race up the tree Snowdust didn't know what to do, she didn't want to make him think that she didn't want to be with him, but at the same time she didn't feel right being here with them both, not how things had been between the two of them. She looked from one to the other and forced a smile across her face. 'Well, I'll leave you two to it. I'm not much of a tree climber. So I'll find us something to eat. You know, so you don't wear yourselves out too much.' It was a poor excuse but meant she could do her own thing but still see how the tom was with Pureheart.

  • "Ok," Pureheart smiled back at Snowdust. "See you later!"
Although she was abit disappointed that Snowdust seemed distant, it didn't take away from her good mood.
She turned her head back to Crazyflight, a challenging grin on her face.
"Ready? Set...GO!" The she-cat yowled, then sped off to the tree, leaping onto it with her claws unsheathed.

  • Before racing after Pureheart, Crazyflight gave Snowdust a small puzzled nod. He wasn't a tree climber either, but that didn't stop him from having some fun. Shrugging, he pulled himself back into reality, and raced after Pureheart. When he reached the tree, he unsheathed his claws, and looked around for clawmarks. Sticking his claws into a dent in the tree, Crazyflight slowly hoisted himself up.

    ((I'm gonna make him fall))

  • Padding off she scented the air hoping that there was actually some prey around that she could take back to the two cats. She would hate to not have anything to show for her loneliness. Thankfully, only a little way away from the others she caught the scent of mouse, quite strong too, which surprised her considering the amount of noise the others were making. Must be a deaf mouse... she thought to herself as she dropped her snowy body to the ground and peered slowly around with her blue eyes. She had the mouse right when she wanted it and was about to leap, she hoped that the other two wouldn't make a noise to alert the mouse of her presence.

  • "To the top!" Crazyflight growled as he hoisted himself up from branch to branch. Realizing Pureheart was ahead of him, he climbed faster, and quickly passed the she-cat. A branch away from the top, Crazyflight felt his paw's slip. Mousedung, I can win this!

  • "That seems a bit dangerous," Pureheart meowed, but kept on climbing.
She got slower as the branches got fewer and more thin.
"Be careful," She told Crazyflight, whom didn't seem to be watching his step.

  • Crazyflight nodded, and clung onto another stronger branch that could keep his weight. Slowly he leaped to the last branch, and let out a purr of triumph. "I win." Crazyflight meowed playfully, waiting for Pureheart to catch up with him. While he was waiting, Crazyflight looked around himself, it was beautiful. He could see all the tree's, and bushed from high up in the tree.

  • Just as she jumped a noise from the two cats alerted the mouse to her position. But, with the luck of StarClan she still managed to pin into the ground and kill it before it had the chance to get away. For a moment she felt almost sorry for the mouse, it had gotten so close to freedom before it's life was ended.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a noise from some bushes ahead of her and a vole shot from cover in the direction of the two cats. Not missing a perfect opportunity she pounced on the vole and killed it as quickly as it had appeared. Just need one more piece of fresh-kill, she thought to herself, although she wasn't sure she was ready to go back yet.

  • Crazyflight flinched as the branch cracked beneath him. Could it really hold his weight? Looking at the branch, he decided that is was wide enough to keep his weight. He must have just been imaging it crack, still Crazyflight felt a little scared. He hoped Pureheart would climb to the top soon, he didn't fancy sitting on the branch for much longer.

  • Pureheart kept going higher and higher, giggling to herself as she climbed up.
Luckily the she-cat was smaller than usual, so the thin branches could hold her.
She made it to the top and looked up, realizing Crazyflight was already there.
    "Aaaawww, you win."

  • Crazyflight smiled, and his stunning blue eyes glimmered. "Haha," Crazyflight meowed playfully, "we could have a race down?" Crazyflight still really wanted to get down, the branch he was on was scaring him, even though he already checked it's strength. Visions crossed his mind of a bloody gray furred cat, at the bottom of the tree. Crazyflight shook the vision away, he knew he was being over cautious.

  • "Yeah!" Pureheart grinned, eager to win at something.
She had practiced of tree climbing many times before and could get down easily.
The creamy colored warrior set off down the tree, skipping a branch at a time as she lept down.
    "Eat mah dust!" She giggled.

  • "You wish!" Crazyflight laughed, leaping onto the branch bellow him. He had gotten up easily, but wasn't the best at getting down. More cautiously, Crazyflight leaped onto a branch that was thick, and had many scratches on it. The scratches helped Crazyflight get a good gripping, so he wouldn't fall.

  • The way down took less stength, but more agility.
'I guess that means Crazyflight is stronger than me,' Pureheart admitted.
She'd never tell that to the boastful tom though. 'But I can be more agile, so it'll even out!'
The small she-cat dared to skip the last three branches as she leapt to the ground.
She landed clumsily on her paws, but remained unharmed. "Looks like I won this round,"
Pureheart sat down and waited for her friend to finish.

  • "Yeah." Cazyflight meowed reluctantly, and focused on getting down from the tree. It took a while, but eventually he's paw's hit the ground. He had to admit, he was happy that he was in one piece on the ground. "I'll win the next one!" Crazyflight meowed, the determined tom stretched out, and braced himself for a race. I can beat it!

  • "Let's try again later," She yawned.
Though she loved having someone to play with all the time,
even Pureheart needed a break every once in a while.
"I'm kind of hungry now after all that climbing," She laughed.
'Maybe Snowpelt will come back with prey for us all to share!'
She swiped her tongue over her muzzle at the thought.

  • Crazyflight nodded, his stomach growled as if agreeing with Pureheart. He hadn't realized how hungry he was because he was having much fun. But Crazyflight had to admit he was grateful that Pureheart didn't want to race, he was quite tired. He yawned as well, not liking the two combination's of hungriness and tiredness.
