The huge adder slithered silently into the nursery,weaving around the nests and hissing eerily.

NettlePaw came running towards the nursery when she heard scream. The adder was going to eat the kittens! She screamed 'An adder! Come quick! HELP!'. The adder, agitated by the loud noise, now turned around and came towards her.

Hollykit huddled in the back of the nursery, her green eyes gleaming

[size=9pt]He could smell it! Oh Starclan, he could practically smell the poison dripping from its fangs!!! The large tom skidded into the nursery.
Cream and brown twined and curled. He could see it headed towards an Apprentice he didn't know. Without a second thought, Memoryfrantic sprinted for the creature, curling out a paw to bat at its face as he put himself between the reptile and the young cat.[/size]

Suddenly NettlePaw saw cat running towards the snake and attacking it, she stood there, watching, paralyzed with fear. She hoped he would be able to kill the snake.

[size=9pt]Cats were fast, but snakes were faster. Even with an uneven swipe at the creature catching it face-wise, the snake recoiled easily and sprung. Memoryfrantic yowled, his body rippling through with pain.

'Noooo!', NettlePaw screamed, and in blind rage she attaked the adder. 'Memoryfrantic, go to the medice cat's den! Quick! I'll get the snake!'. She grabbed the adder with her claws, it was struggeling to bite her.

A nest of 4 tiny moon old kits sqeaked in fear and cried for their mother.One of the kits thought it was a game and pounced on the snake's tail,and bit down hard as it could.

Hollykit thought,Maybe this is a game?, she thought, and bit on the snakes tail

NettlePaw also bit the snakes tail, it was screaming in agony now. 'Yes! Bite it!', she shouted to the kits, 'Bite the adder!'.

She giggled and sank her teeth deeper into it, ripping some flesh, scarlet liquid pouring out of it

As the adder kept screaming in agony, NettlePaw bit through its neck. The body continued to struggle for a while until the adder completely fell silent. Its blood was all over the nursery and the cats. 'Well done everyone!', NettlePaw said, 'You all were amazing!'.

"Take this! Stewpid snakee!", she giggled, ripping part of its tail off ferociously

The adder whirled around,its tongue flickering ominously and sank its fangs into the kits fur.

NettlePaw ran to Memoryfrantic. 'Come on!', she shouted, 'We have to get you to a medicine cat!'. She looked at the cat, she was worried. The cat did save her life.
