Duke noticed the buck and smiled.

Nocte curled tighter around herself.

Duke got up and shook pieces of moss of his fur.

Nocte yawned and sleepily opened her eyes.

"I see you caught use breakfast" he barked happily.

She sat up, "I had to say thank you somehow."

"You don't need to" he replied.

"Yes I did. You shared your home and prey with me, a complete stranger." She her tail twitched behind her.

"True, but when we first met i wasn't so nice" he answered.

"True." She smiled a little.

He looked at the buck "want to eat now"

"Sure." She stood up and walked over to him.

Duke began to eat the hind leg.

She started eating the shoulder.

He licked his lips when he was finished.

Nocte glanced at him as she finished and blushed under her fur. He was a good looking wolf.

Duke smiled "Nocte i'm one of those wolves that travels all the time. Settles down for a week then moves on....and i was wondering if you would like to go on my journey with me"

She looked at him curiously but didn't hesitate when she answered, "Sure. I've got nothing keeping me here. I'd love to come with you on your journey."
