He finished.

She stood and flicked her tail, "Thank you."

"your welcome" he replied.

"Maybe I'll see you around." She started walking back into the woods..

"do you have a place to stay" he asked.

She stopped and shamefully shook her head, "No."

"You could stay with me" he suggested.

She hesitated, "O-ok."

Duke lead the way into a huge den.

"Wow." Nocte looked around.

"Yeah i'll go get you a bed to lay on" he walked out and pulled some moss in next to his bed.

She licked his cheek, "Thank you." She curled up on the moss and closed hereyes.

He blushed under his fur. He watched the night go by.

She woke from a nightmare near dawn.

Duke had fallen asleep.

Nocte got up and quietly left to go hunt, it was the least she could do to repay him.

Duke was still fast asleep.

Just after dawn, she came back with a young buck. She shook her fur and went to lay back down.

Duke finally opened his eyes and yawned.
