• Truth sat down on the bench to the piano in the music room after school.
    He was the most unpopular guy in school.Even his parents hated him.
    He didn't take out any sheets of music,nothing.He just began to play,swiftly,a beautiful song,hoping no one was around.

    The song:

    He looks like the guy at the bottom C: (17 years old)

  • Ooc: Cool thread! Would it be okay if I threw in my charry? :3

  • Ooc: Awesome! Thanks much. :) Just tell me if you have anything my charry needs to do! :) (Also, I have a pic in mind for my charry... Just got to go find it. Will have it shortly!)

    Ic: Terry, a junior in the high school, walked down the hallway, her mind worlds away as she passed groups of students - students who could've cared less about her. Deep in her reverie, she didn't even notice when she'd started to pass the music room until music reached her ears. Poking her head in a bit, she stayed there, listening as a guy sat at the piano, playing some of the most amazing music she'd heard in a long, long time. Content to stay there for a bit, she silently watched, blue-gray eyes following his hands through the impromptu concert.

    Ooc: SOrry for lame start. Gotta go, but I promise my next post will be better! :)

  • ooc:That's an awesome start,better than mine!

    ic:Truth played swiftly with a smile on his face,his eyes closed.Playing the piano took him away from the harsh,cruel world.It made him feel wanted,and loved.It took him to a place of peace and harmony.Nothing to worry about,nothing to be sad or mad about.Just happiness and peace,love,and music.

  • [X3 Thank you! I was trying to rush - more holidazing activities! ;)]

    Stunned by the passionate music, Terry completely stopped and stepped inside the edge of the music room, her dark clothing blending in fairly well with the dim surroundings. Watching, astonished with the talent Truth was playing with, she shifted her books to one arm, her pack dangling from one shoulder while she steadied it with a hand. Clear gaze resting on him, she didn't say anything - content to listen and abosrb the music. She doubted she'd officially met the brown-haired boy before, she recognized him from simply passing him in the halls. Having been troubled and in a melancholly mood before, she felt her mood lighten with the beautiful music. Unbidden, she half-closed her eyes, already picking out the chords from her mind, fingers twitching with the rhythm.

  • {Ya,same here.I'm going to my mom and dad's friends' house for New Years Eve today.}

    Truth hadn't noticed Terry and just kept playing when he finished he smiled warmly and didn't get up.He just turned around and almost fell off the piano bench seeing Terry standing inside the door."H-how long have y-you been standing there?"he asked shakily.He gulped and forced a bright smile,showing his perfect,white teeth,his eyes shut tight.

  • Terry looked up suddenly, blue eyes wide and her expression alarmed at being caught. "I-I... Uh, not t-too long... Long enough I mean," she stuttered, stunned by his smile and sudden halting. "I mean I'm sorry for just barging in... The door was open so I thought..." At that Terry trailed off, suddenly unsure and embarrassed.

    (Sorry for short post. iPods aren't meant to type a long time. ;))

  • (It's ok.I make like 2 sentence posts sometimes if I can't think of anything.And ya,totally know what ya mean.)

    "It's okay."he said quietly,in his soft voice."I.....I'm Truth.."he introduced himself.He looked back up,smiling warmly at her.He got up from the bench and walked over to her."What's your name?"he asked kindly.His voice was always caring and kind,even when he was mad.He stood only a couple feet away from her.

  • [Yep! Sometimes muse forsakes us. ;) Finally found a pic!

    ]

    Terry shifted her load of books to her left arm and held out a hand hesitantly in greeting. "I'm Tranes," she began, unintentionally giving out her casual nickname. "Er -- Terry Raynes," she finished with a sheepish smile, so used to hearing her combined name from her brothers she hadn't thought much of it. "Good to meet you, Truth... And I don't normally run into the first open door I see, so for that, I apologize," she added with a lopsided smile. "It's just been kind of an off day," she said, trying to explain with a shrug as she hiked her bag up on one shoulder.

  • He giggled a little,shaking her hand."Nice to meet you,too,Terry.And I know how ya feel.It's always an off day for me."he said with a warm smile.No one had ever,EVER,talked to him before,well,nicely."Can you play any instrument?"he asked,sweetly.

  • Terry nodded, shifting her books once more. "Yeah. I play piano and a little guitar," she answered, smiling a little at the thought of anything music-related. "I don't hold a candle to you, though," she added with a friendly tone, complimenting him in her usual amiable way.

  • He smiled brightly."Can you...show me a song?"he asked,hoping she would say yes.He looked at his watch.He had time before he had to get home.He looked back up at Terry with a friendly smile.His eyes sparkled and his smile was sweet.No one was never,EVER,this nice to him.Ever.

  • Terry looked down a minute, blushing a little at the thought of playing for an audience of one. But, then, considering how friendly and kind Truth had been thus far, Terry swallowed hard and nodded a little, looking up at him a little doubtfully, blue eyes shining with uncertainty. "I'll do my best, but don't expect much. I'm not all that great with playing for people," she mumbled, grinning lopsidedly and surprised he'd even asked. Setting her stuff down by the door, she pushed it to the side and shot Truth one last uncertain smile - sure she'd somehow mess it up - and sat down at the keys, staring at it until a song came to mind. With a quick breath, she winced a little and began to play something she'd remembered spontaneously.

  • He smiled brightly and sat in a seat in front of her.He watched her play."Wow...."he whispered."Beautiful..." He was amazed at how beautifully she played.He didn't take his eyes off of the keys for one second,looking at every note she played."Yer....amazing."

  • Terry blushed deeply, surprised that she hadn't messed up royally. "Er... Thanks," she murmured, sounding embaressed at his praise. "Yours was better," she countered with a small smile, nudging him in a friendly, casual way, nodding to show she really did mean it.

  • "Ya.Right."he mumbled.He giggled a little and got up."I..need to go."he said,sort of sad that he had to leave.He looked at his watch,then back at Terry."Hey.You wanna come to my house to play the piano some more?It is Saturday tomorrow.If yer not busy."he asked,shyly.

  • Terry suddenly smiled, eyebrows raising at the surprising request, having been used to students pretty much ignoring her. "Yeah, that would be great," she said with a smile, tugging at her sleeves as she stood up next to him. "I've got nothing going on... On the way out, I'll let my brother know," she added, making it sound more like a question. "He's my ride, and he'll let the parentals know," she finished, smiling again in an amiable tone, feeling surprisingly content and at ease with Truth. "Are you sure you don't have anything else going on?" the dark-haired girl queried, making an expression that said: 'I don't want to make problems.'

  • "Ya!Me and my dad never have anything going on.He just goes out to try and find that special someone."he said,hiding the fact that his father beat him and that he was a drunk.He hoped that Terry wouldn't find out and tell her family/friends,or even worse,the cops.His dad is all he had left of a family member.He had just gotten out of jail a month ago.He actually r**ed Truth's mom,but he had the right to take care of Truth,now.The cops let him out early because Truth's aunt and uncle died in a car accident about a month ago.

  • Terry thought she saw a shadow cross hsi face, but she rejected the idea. Giving another brief smile, she nodded. "Great," she commented, feeling surprisingly relieved that he didn't mind. "Percy's waiting outside the building," she added, lifting the corner of her mouth in a sort of smile. In truth, she was happy she wouldn't have to deal with the snooty girls that her sister had over every so often - the ones that were clique-y and made one's life miserable. Bending over, she grabbed her shoulder bag and hoisted her books up into her arm again, then glanced at Truth. Smiliing, she said in a friendly tone, "Ready when you are."
