Melodypaw and Kestrelpaw

    Kestrelflight snapped awake, he'd gotten a good sleep. He got up and stretched then walked out into the clearing "ye-yaawwnn-...yea?" he said still a bit sleepy from just waking up

    he stumbled backwards when he was smacked "wha?? well earlier she said she was gonna go see if anyone needed help" he said remembering what she ad said "she didn't say where she would look.." he said rubbing his head

    Hollowshadow had gathered the best tracker in the clan, a silver tom with flinty chips for eyes named Sterlingclaw.
    Hollowshadow paced at the entrance and nodded at Kestrelflight. Mewing for Sterlingclaw to begin, she silently followed the warrior without even making sure he was following,

    They came to a small, quiet and usually not busy thunderpath. Everyone froze.
    On the side of the twoleg creation there lay a furry black heap matted with blood. It was mewing feebly, crooked and struggling.

    Melodyrhythm's tail was shattered and jaggedly placed. Her front leg was torn and broken and twisted horribly. She whimpered, open eyes foggy and sightless with pain. It looked as if she had bern hit once on her front-right leg because of the dryer blood and had tried to crawl away then got hit again on the edge.

    "M-Melodyrhythm?!" kestrelflight said his eyes wide he stood there for a moment then gently grabbed her by the scruff and pulled her off the side of the thunder-path with the help of another warrior. He crouched down next to her and asked "what were you doing out here in the first place?!" he said, worry in his voice.. he had an idea why but wasn't sure

    Kestrelflights heart sank, She had told him about the "other side of her", the other "spirit" that sometimes controlled her soon after they met.. "oh..." he said quietly he then put his head under her and lifter her up onto his back trying to be as gentle as possible, he began walking back to the camp

    Hollowshadow and Sterlingclaw helped and when they got into the camp, Dappledmint carefully drug her into her den.
    Hollowshadow was crouched at the entrance, gazing at her paws with grief.

    The next morning, Dappledmint padded out of her den, darkly spotted pelt dull and ears down. Her tail drug in the ground and her head was lowered.
    Hollowshadow, who had stayed up alk night, sprang up.
    "D-Dapplemint?! How is she?"
    The med. cat sighed. "I did all I could but she has lost a lost of blood and even if she recovers she will be badly crippled."

    Kestrelflight's heart sank once more.. he had fallen asleep right outside and been half asleep so heard the news.. he got up and walked over "you're sure?....." he said softly

    Dappledmint looked at him and nodded slowly. "I've heard stories of a young she-cat long ago by the name of Cinderpelt. Her injuries where quite similiar to Melodyrhythm's. She had trouble moving and was made the medicine cat's apprentice. I'm afraid the same fate will befall Melodyrhytm."
    She sighed. "She was asking for you, by the way. But be quiet if you go in there. I have sleeping patients and she herself may be resting also."

    Kestrelflight nodded slowly and stepped inside the den looking around and finally spotting Melodyrhythm, he walked over to her nest and very gently nudged her to see if she was awake
