The aroma of apples wafted in the town square. It was the strongest smell from the bakery and was very popular among Pokemon. It was more like a cafe that many Pokemon hung around in. Explorers, merchants, and gangs of all kinds enjoyed the peaceful aura. A lot of gossip was spreading across the region, especially news on the bands of hostile Pokemon.

"I heard a Tribe of Bibarel was attacked recently. The poor group was robbed of everything. I guess these Pokemon called themselves the New Rule. It's a little worrisome, I hope someone will take care of the problem soon!" A Sunflora said to her friend.

The Ivysaur nodded in agreement. "My cousin was forced out of her home. Poor guy is having a tough time, he lost everything. And Pokemon in the dungeons have been getting rowdy as well. I'm almost frightened to leave my home sometimes."

More stories could be heard throughout the entire cafe. Another group was talking about forming a hunt.

"I think this would be a great idea. Dad would probably want us to. They always used to tell us stories about before.." Bonnie had a messy pie face.

Sandi scowled and wiped her sister's face off. "Stories. I think it's a little dangerous.. We've been a team for very long. Our name gets around but we're not invincible. Running off by ourselves is a bad idea." She bit into an apple.

"So why not ask people?" Dusk suggested reluctantly.

  • Raikou sighed. "So many bands.." she gasped in awe. She thought she heard the voice of Sandi, but shook her head. Her stomach growled, making her blush. The red ribbon in which she had on, flowed neatly behind her ear and around her neck. She pressed it with her paw. "Dusk..." she whispered her first love's name a loud, as he was the one who gave her the gift.

  • "Well.." Sandi looked around at everyone close by. They were everyday Pokemon seen mostly everyday in town. "Does it look like any of them are ready to fight? I guess their are some willing teams but they could be too busy."

"Bah, I doubt it!" Bonnie argued cheerfully. "Let's see, there's plenty of tough Pokemon around here. We can't be chicken and hide. Something bad will end up happening." She glanced around the room for a familiar face, her eyes landing Raikou. "Oh, that's someone we sort of know." She Vulpix pointed out to her siblings.

Dusk and Sandi looked to where their sister pointed. There was a very familiar Pokemon there to Dusk. He had a small smile on his face and he nodded a little. "Yes, we know her."

  • Raikou flinched walking backwards before running. She didn't look back until she noticed she was in the dark alleyway..the territory of the Death Pack.

Yami grinned. "Hello there young one.." he cackled, more canine pokemon following. Yami slammed the younger Raikou to the ground, making her gasp with pain. "Leave me alone!" Raikou screamed, trying to fight back, but couldn't. She realized that she couldn't breath, and cried.

Raikou hissed, using thunder wave. Yami yelped and jumped out the way, finding that he couldn't move. "Kill her." he snapped, a poochyena tackling her as she tried to run, a Mightyena aiming for her throat.

  • Dusk had managed to sneak away from his sisters when Raikou bolted from the cafe. He had been surprised to see her, pleasantly so, but even more surprised when she backed out and ran off. He distracted the girls with something and crept away out into the streets. He kept looking until he noticed an alleyway. There were crooks all around and a wave of panic washed over him.

Taking advantage of his dark fur and slipped into the alley and was horrified to see a Poochyena tackling his friend. He finally noticed the Mightyena poising himself for attack. Dusk held his breath, knowing there probably wasn't much he could but he did something anyways. He jumped out teeth bared and made his way over to Rai's side. Angry growl emitted from his throat. "I think you better back off now." He threatened. The odds weren't in their favor but he was the stubborn one that never backed down.

Sandi turned around to find Dusk had disappeared. She sighed and muttered a curse word. "Hey Sandi! I think that Eevee would want to join!" Bonnie pointed to Star's friend Moon. She of course had been eavesdropping.

"It's incredibly rude to listen in on other's conversations. You really sh-" Sandi stopped in mid-sentence. She pulled out her badge and it was flashing. Dusk was in trouble. "Bonnie we have to go.. Bonnie!" He sister was already gone. She cursed again ans rushed off to find Dusk.

Bonnie was slowly edging closer to Moon and Star, trying to get a better view of them.

  • Yami snarled in annoyance. "Your lucky this time, you d*mn runt. I'll be sure to kill you, and your little friends." "Smog." he growled, a black mist appearing. When it disappeared, the pack was gone.

Raikou whimpered and looked at Dusk, gasping before sitting up straight, blushing. "D-Dusk..Long time n-no see." she stuttered embarrassingly.

  • "Yeah, it has." Dusk exhaled heavily in relief. As he did this the fur on his back relaxed as well. He sat on the ground next to her, relief in his eyes. "Are you alright? Any injuries I need to know about?" He examined the Pichu carefully, not seeing anything too serious. If anything she was shaking emotionally by the entire thing. "Glad that it ended like it did. Something much worse could've happened."

Sandi walked down the alley, pausing when she saw her brother and Raikou. She leaned against the wall and watched. She could tell she wasn't exactly needed yet.

  • Raikou nodded solemnly.
I love him so much..but I can't tell him that now..he'll kill me..No..he's not like that.. she thought. "S-so Dusk...What have you been doing all this time?" she asked carefully, holding the ribbon Dusk got for her.

  • Dusk gave a sideways glance at the bow and one of his tiny smiles crossed his face. He remembered giving it to her a while ago. Feels like an eternity actually.. "Nothing of notable interest. Snagging a few bandits here and there with my sisters. Bonnie is completely convinced we need to run off and save the world. It's kind of crazy but intriguing at the same." He realised he was rambling off to her a bit. "Sorry. You probably don't want to here about that. Um, how have you been?"

  • Raikou sighed. "Horrible to tell you the truth..I get beat up almost every day...And I'm too stupid and weak to defend myself." she sighed, shaking her head. "So most of my life without you..I've been hiding anywhere I could.." she said sadly, hiding the jagged scar she got from Yami on her tail.

  • He looked at her rather stunned. "I didn't realise.. You know if you need training or someplace to stay.." He felt a little speechless. She never seemed like the type to go around and get herself beat up. She was always a little shy but he was upset to hear her say this. Dusk felt she might be hiding something else but he didn't press to bother her about. "Let's go back to the cafe. After something like that you need something to drink and eat." He insisted firmly.

  • Raikou nodded. "Okay..." she said, blushing, but she was still a bit sad, and was thinking of how to tell Dusk how she felt. Maybe later.. she told herself.

  • Pandora sat on top of a buiding quietly. She had sensed something dangerous but she didn't knw what. Her fur blew slowly in the wind as she watched the town square.

  • "Alright, we should head over. My sisters probably guess I've distracted them by now. Sandi at least." Dusk got to his feet and stretched. "Well you can decide whatever you want when we get there, our treat. Bonnie will be happy to have some company other than us." He chuckled a little.

Sandi shook her head. He was so awkward, although he probably didn't recognise the feelings himself. She tutted and moved backwards towards the cafe again. She paused in the streets. looking up. She had a funny feeling someone was hanging around. She spotted an Absol. If she remembered correctly, Absol were very good with natural disasters or disasters in general. She wondered if something was wrong, especially since the Pokemon was standing on a roof.

  • Pandora noticed a Smeargle and looked at her for a moment before looking back towards the sun again. She wanted to know what would happen but her horn/scycthe coudn't pick it up. She sighed and leaped down.

  • The Smeargle quickly ran up to Pandora. "Excuse me! I just was wondering something." She stopped in barely enough time before colliding into the bigger Pokemon. Getting a hold of herself she finally remembered what she planned on asking. "You can sense disasters, right?"

  • "Well all these rumors and stories about attacks. Is it possible this could be linked to something far worse? I mean..." She looked uncertain about saying this. "While all this is alarming, I can't help but wonder."

  • "You are correct. Though I can not tell what it is yet there is something really wrong," Pandora said. Her horn had been tingling all day and it was bothering her alot.

  • Raikou nodded, a small smile was put on her face. "Thank you...for everything Dusk." she said softly.
