  • Evangeline shifted on the sofa, bringing her knees close to her chest. Her eyes watched the television, noticing how dark it was in the room.

  • Andrew stayed where he was, usually paying full attention to the movie. It did help get things off his mind and enjoy the time he was spending with Evangeline.

  • {Sorry I didn't let you know, someone invited me to the movies last minute, so sorry I was gone! }

Evangeline had her eyes on the television, wanting to get the full aspect of the movie.

  • (It's alright. Real life comes before internet. It's completely understandable. :))

Andrew turned off the TV as the movie scrolled the credits. "What did you think of the movie?" He asked, turning to her, his hand laid close to hers in the middle of the sofa.

  • Evangeline smiled, "I liked it." She told him her favorite parts, then smiled, "Did you like it?" She asked him, biting her lip.

  • Andrew nodded. "Yeah, I did." He looked at the blank TV then back to Evangeline. "What do you want to do now? Anything you're dying to do?" He asked.

  • Evangeline shrugged, "It's your house, you pick something for us to do." She said to him, not wanting to even think about choosing something for the two of them to do, in fear of choosing something that Andrew thought was dumb, or something along those lines.

  • "Aw, come on. I know there is something you want to do." He urged her. "I will do whatever you want Evangeline. I'm sure I will like what you want to do." Andrew moved a little closer to her, gazing patiently into her beautiful eyes. "Besides, I don't want to come up with everything we do."

  • Evangeline bit her lip nervously. "I.. I don't know though." She said, turning away from him to hide her blushing face. She felt so ridiculous because she couldn't come up with a single thing for the two of them to do. She turned back to him slowly, her eyes staying at her lap. "We could play a board game or something." Evangeline said softly, her voice just barely above a whisper.

  • "I've got something. Just a sec." He walked off in his room and came back with a board game. "You may find this nerdy, but how about we play some Sonic The Hedgehog Monopoly." (yes there is such thing) He set the box down. "It'll be a long game for just the two of us. Plus, it's a good way to talk and get to know each other better."

  • Evangeline nodded, "Sure." She said giving him a warm smile. "It sounds fun." She said honestly to him, clasping her hands together tightly as he set out the game.

  • Andrew smiled. "So you don't think this is nerdy at all?" He asked as he finished setting up the game. He has been made fun of in the past for liking this kind of stuff, he kept it a secret from the beginning of middle school and afterward.

  • Evangeline shook her head, "Not at all, I think it's cool." She said to him, offering him a friendly smile. It's nice to talk to a guy who isn't all about getting laid or football. She thought to herself as her eyes swept over the set out game.

  • Suddenly, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. This was the worst time for someone to be texting him. Andrew just wanted to be with Evangeline, alone, without interruptions. He decided not to answer it. "It's exactly how you would play normal Monopoly." He explained until suddenly his phone rang loudly, letting Evangeline know about it. He didn't want her to think he was rude so he pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Forgive me." He told her, he didn't want to answer, but he had to. "Hello?" He asked whoever was on the other line. He prayed it wasn't either of the two other girls. Andrew knew they both had his phone number, and sadly knew where he lived.

  • Evangeline nodded, and pulled her legs up to her chest. She rested her chin on her knees and waited patiently for him to finish. "Andrew!" Caroline said, her bright voice not faltering. "I need your help!" She said to him, twirling her hair in her forefinger as she waited for his response.

  • "With what?" Andrew asked, not really caring that much. He just wanted the phone call to be over. He walked over and sat next to Evangeline, showing that he'd rather be talking to her than hearing about Caroline's problems.

  • Evangeline gave Andrew a small smile, showing him to take his time. She was in no rush to get back to her empty home.
Caroline groaned, "I don't understand any of this work in science, can you please help me?" She asked him, putting stress on her please. "I can come over if that is okay with you." She said over the phone, letting her hair go before crossing her legs and smiling inwardly to herself.

  • Andrew's eyes widened as she asked to come over. He already had Evangeline here, and that wouldn't please either of them. "Hold on while I ask. If not we can work on that before school starts." He covered the phone with his hand and whispered to Evangeline. "Do you think it would be alright if Caroline came over so I can help her with homework?" He asked.

  • Evangeline looked down, trying to keep the sad look off of her face while she nodded. She really didn't want Caroline over, the mixture of not liking her, and wanting to be alone with Andrew made her quite uneasy. "I don't mind." She said to him, her voice quiet.
Caroline waited on the other line for a long moment.

  • "I can tell you don't want her to." He replied in a whisper. "Can we maybe later tonight or early tomorrow? I'm sorta in the middle of something important. I can call you when I'm done." Andrew told Caroline. "But I promise I will help you before school tomorrow." Andrew smiled at Evangeline.
