  • The bird screeched again, tearing at the ceiling of the Nursery.

Toxiclove bristled and clutched her kits tighter, her fear so strong for her newborns, tears had sprung. She hissed abruptly.

Almondkit snuggled into his mothers fur, falling asleep.

The rest of the kittens screamed in fear.

Ripfur rushed into the Nursery, "Whats going on?" He mewed.

  • Blazestar growled, "The bird! Attack it!" Without waiting for a reply from his deputy, the large tom crouched then sprung at the bird, letting out a loud and furious snarl.

  • Ripfur nodded obediently and leapt into action. Claws out, he lunged at the bird.

The hawk fluttered into the air, dodging Blazestars attack, and Ripfurs. It flew up to a tree that looked into the Nursery. It folded its wings contently and watched Toxiclove, waiting for the right moment to strike.

  • Blazestar landed and screeched, "BoneClan! Attack the bird!"

Lightningpelt and Stonepath immediately began climbing up the tree, hissing.

  • The peregrine falcon screeched and turned to face its predators, its wings unfolding and furling out, its feathers puffing to make it look bigger. She was only 10 months old, but she was massive for such a falcon and she screeched menacingly again, her eyes slits and her beak open slightly. She was weak however, due to lack of food, which made her desperate.

Toxiclove covered her kits with her head, hiding them completely from view.

Ooc: sorry changing her to a falcon...

  • Lightningpelt, being faster and lighter than Stonepath, reached the falcon first. He pulled himself onto the branch it rested on and aimed to slice through it with his claws.

  • The falcon fluttred into the air, out of Lightingpelts reach. Its eyes seemed to mock them, and it rose above the tree, preparing to dive and attack the cats, then the kittens.

  • Lightningpelt snarled.

Without hesitation, Stonepath jumped back down to the ground and stood in front of the nursery entrance, glaring at the falcon.

  • The falcon turned swiftly and dived at Toxiclove. Its drop and swoop was 90 miles fast, and it slipped past Stonepath. However since its turn to make itself narrower required spreading its wings out, its trailing wing was fast enough to nick, if Stonepath was prepared. Her talons snatched up Sagekit and she spun around, wings flapping and stirring up huge clouds of dust. She looked desperately for a way out, the entrance still blocked by Stonepath.

Toxiclove froze in fear, her eyes wide and her stomach clutching.

  • The falcon swooped out of the Nursery, dragging Lightningpath with her after her claws sunk into her wing.

  • Lightningpelt let out a hiss and aimed to throw the falcon down to the ground, his eyes blazing with fury.

  • The falcon screeched as she was dragged to the ground. Mesheekna tightened her grip on the kit.

Sagekit screeched sharply as the claws pressed against her fragile skin and fur. Her eyes were huge.

Mesheekna flapped her huge wings furiously, twisting and turning in attempt to loosen the grip. She felt the claws start to slip satisfactorily.

Ripfur rushed to tackle the other wing.

  • Mesheekna screeched in agony and went limp, yelping, her body gasping for air at the same time. Sagekit scrambled up and raced to a dark corner, hidden deeply into a thorny bush.

Mesheeknas gaze flicked pleadingly up to Lightningpelt, fear glazing her eyes.

Toxiclove padded out to watch, anger lashing her tail. She looked like a queen attending an execution of a murderer who had attempted to kill her.

  • Lightningpelt was about to bring his claws down for the fatal blow, but narrowed his eyes and stepped away. "Never come back," he snarled.

  • The falcon scrambled to her feet, wings unfurled. Mesheekna took a few steps back, eyeing the fk pile hungrily. She fluttered up to the top of the Warriors Den and gazed at Lightningstrike. She could understand what they were saying, but she had trouble replying. She twisted the muscles around her mouth and gurgled awkwardly, "Ieeeeee shhtAAAy?"

  • Lightningpelt flattened his ears. "What?" he asked, not understanding the bird's incomprehensible speech.
