Lilypaw almost jolted up from feeling the water, and the swamp mud getting between her toes. "Woah! This water is chilly!" she mewed, taking a step back.
Sorrelpaw needs a crush and friends!

"You're not scared of the water, are you?" Galestep asked, smiling mischievously. She waded in up to her knees, figuring it would be belly-high for Sorrelpaw and Lilypaw. The water soaked into her fur, chilling her legs. Lilypaw was right about the cold water.
"It helps if you jump in all at once, if you're cold." She suggested. "Oh, and be careful to enter upstream from me. The current is a little strong in the middle, before you get used to fighting it."
She knew that all kits had swimming lessons in still pools of water, and so were often caught off-guard upon their first real swim. She waited for the others to enter the water. -
When Lilypaw heard Galestep's statement, she mewed back, "Afraid of the water? Why would I be?" with that said, the apprentice leaped into the bleak water. Waves and fish scattered around when Lilypaw jumped in beside Galestep.
-
Bright droplets spattered Galestep's blue tabby coat. The waves lapped at her stomach.
"Right. Well, I hope you don't do that next time you're on an ambush patrol." She said to Lilypaw. -
The apprentice purred with amusement. "Sorry," Lilypaw mewed. "So, when should we begin?" the chocolate tabby questioned, shaking her fur so most water would fly off. Most of her pelt would just keep the water in thought, since she was a RiverClan cat.
-
"Well...I think a good move would be...the underwater clinch." Galestep moved up to shallower water. When practicing this move, shallower water was needed to prevent accidental drowning.
"Okay." She said. "The reason I'm teaching you this move now is because it's simple, but effective. Any at can do it, and pretty much any non-RiverClan cat will freak out and surrender if you do it right." Now came the instruction.
"Let's say I'm an enemy warrior. You want to scare me off quickly, but with as little blood spilled as possible. You pounce on my shoulders, like this." She demonstrated by springing out of the water and landing on a large stone with a splash. "You push down, hard, and hold my head down under the surface. But only for a few seconds. Then, you let my head up just long enough for me to gasp, and then you duck me under again." -
Lilypaw nodded, and gave Galestep full attention. "That's amazing," she meowed, wide eyed. "I'm sure that'll teach any cat a lesson!"
-
"You bet it will!" Galestep agreed. "Want to try?" She turned so Lilypaw would have a clear shot at her shoulders.
-
Sorrelpaw sat down and watched. "I'll try it next!" ^_^

(Yay! You're back! :D)

OOC: Sorry, I've been super busy :(

OOC: OK! Good!

IC: Lilypaw focused her tangerines eyes on Galestep' s shoulders. She leaped up into the air, and was starting to land onto the gray she- cat. Water splashed all around them as she ducked Galestep' s head halfway into the water. Right after Lilypaw had tackled the warrior, she got off quickly. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" she mewed in a worried tone, taking a step back.
-
Galestep's head popped up to the surface, water rolling off her forehead. She splattered a bit, then grinned.
"Of course not. I know how to hold my breath underwater." She assured Lilypaw. "That's exactly why I'm the one you're practicing on, and not Sorrelpaw." -
"Can I try now?" Sorrelpaw asked while excidetly getting up.
-
Lilypaw padded up towards the shore and shook her fur, until is was puffy and dry. She sat down and watched Sorrelpaw and Galestep practice in the river.
-
Sorrelpaw crouched near the shore and leaped onto Galesteps back. she pushed her head in the water and after a bit let her head up then quickly pushed her head back down under the water.
-
Galestep quickly closed her mouth, releasing only a few small bubbles of air. She opened her eyes, and through the murk, she saw the silhouettes of water plants waving in the water. She felt Sorrelpaw's paws pushing firmly onto her shoulder blades.
Good, thought Galestep. A panicked warrior wouldn't stand a chance! -

IC:
ScourgePaw yawned. Not being used to water, he had caught a chill. He was better now but still ntimidated by the water that was deeper than he was tall.
