OOC- I back now!!!
Ebonystar laughed, purring. "Catch me if you can!" She leapt away.
His hind claws sunk into the ground to keep him from sliding away from her. Bunching his hind legs, he pushed off and pelted after the she-cat. A laugh sounded from his jaws as he followed the she-cat around. "I will get you!" he yowled.
Ebonystar ran faster, laughing and smiling. "Never!"
The tom let out a playful hiss before he bunched his muscles once again, and shot after her. "Oh yes!" he squealed, rounding every corner she did, swerving every time she did. He was gaining on her, but not quite there.
Ebonystar pounded faster before scrambling up a large oak tree hurriedly. "Catch this tree climber if you can!"
The tom quickly bunched his muscles and leaped up into the air. His claws sunk into the bark, but before he could follow her, a paw got loose and he began to slide down the trunk.
Ebonystar watched far above, perched on a sturdy branch.
He then tried again, this time successfully sinking his claws into the bark and dragging himself up the tree.
Ebonystar climbed higher, careful of small branches that wouldn't hold her weight.
Mourningsong finally came to a branch large enough to hold his weight. His sides were heaving with the effort not to fall down.
"Be careful!" She called down, shifting weight and hoping not to fall from this high. She couldn't risk another injury or lost life. Ebonystar forced herself to look down.
The tom looked up at her, the smile still on his maw. "I will!" He reassured her. Gathering enough determination, he leaped to the next branch.
The branched waved in wind, the she-cat gripped the branch. Her amber eyes glittered down at Mourningsong.
The Tom's eyes were on the she-cats as he made yet another leap. It was like taking a leap of faith. Every time he took a leap, he was one step closer to Ebonystar.
Ebonystar smiled a little. He was closer. "Be careful!" She repeated anxiously.
Just as he was about to make his next leap, one of humankind paws slipped. Letting out a startled screech, he plummeted down until his paws hooked onto another branch. With all his might, he pulled himself up. His eyes were wide with shock and fear, his side's heaving as he caught his breath.
"Mourningsong!" She gaped at him. Ebonystar almost fell herself as she tried to check if the tom below was okay. Her back paws slid off the back so she hung from the branch with her front paws. Clambering back up, she glanced back down and decided to pick her way down.
The Tom was trembling with fear, for he could have died just a few moments before. He looked up at Ebonystar as he heard his name being called. "I got my balance!" he called to her.
Ebonystar, quickly but cautiously, picked her way down to him.
The tom watched Ebonystar as she made her way down to him. He didn't want her falling like he had just a few moments before. He finally met her on the next branch, when he leaped up to meet her. "That was scary." he purred with amusement.
