Molefang scented the air, and yowled, "Loner!"
-
"Ok I confess I was kicked out of my old clan and now I'm a loner " I better go now...
-
"Yeah, you better," snarled Molefang. "Before you lose your tail!"
-
The dark bengal bounded off yowling
-
"Molefang, Mousegrass, Whitewhisker, follow me," Gravelstar mewed. "We need to make sure that rogue didn't stay around."
-
Silentstripe fell silent as the group left the camp even when the loner showed up as far as he was concerned their only priority was finding willowflare. He was annoyed that he was never answered and he had to follow the group he would have prefered to be on his own so he could more easily remain undetected.
-
"Molefang, Whitewhisker, and Mousegrass, go on ahead," ordered Gravelstar. "Whitewhisker's in charge. Once the loner leaves the territory, come back for some well deserved rest." He turned to Silentstripe. "We'll get Willowflare back, don't worry."
-
Willowflare was silent for moments. She stared at Lightshadow, her gaze icy cold.. After a long time of wait, she meowed, "I dont trust you, Lightshadow. Your threatening my clanmate, and that makes me trust you less. Touch a hair on that cat's pelt, and you'll never know where the kits are."
-
"Please, just tell me if the kits are safe and well-fed," Lightshadow, actually, PLEADED.
-
"Well if you put it that way," Willowflare meowed, "I'll tell you. The kit's are safe with their mother." She meowed. "And yes, as far as I know, well fed."
-
"Thank you," whispered Lightshadow. She flicked her tail, and the WolfGang cats retreated, dissapearing into the light.
-
Willowflare stretched. Now that this was over, it was time to go home. Willowflare stood onto her paws, and looked around. Her fur was soaked with rain, mud dripping from her fur. Infact, at the moment, she was sitting in a shallow puddle. Standing up, she hoped the Wolfgang cat's would finally leave Windclan alone. If they came back for a battle, she'd teach them a lesson they'd never forget. She stood up, and padded away from where the Wolfgang cat's used to be, into the direction of home.
Soon, she saw cat's up ahead. She couldnt make out the shapes, but she could tell her clan was here. "Hey!" She called as she drew closer. "Im back!" -
"Willowflare!" Gravelstar yowled, overjoyed.
-
Once willowflare was close enough, she stopped and sat down. "The only reason they did that, is because they wanted to know if the kit's are safe." She glanced behind her. "But, soon enough, they will notice Poolfur and Dayfawn have disspeared and might attack or something." She mewed, thoughtfully. Looking back at the leader, she meowed, "Well, let's get back to camp. Im about to fall asleep on the spot."
-
"I'm ORDERING everyone but the two cats on guard to bed," Gravelstar mewed. 'We need our energy."
Sure enough, when they came to the camp, Gravelstar yowled, "I know many things have happened, but without sleep we are weakened. Everyone to their nests. And Silentstripe, I know you don't enjoy it, but you need to sleep in the warriors' den. It's not safe at night anymore."
Nightowl and the kits had already fallen asleep, and so had Poolfur. Dayfawn padded next to Willowflare. "Thank you for being so kind to Nightowl," Dayfawn whispered.
Molefang, Whitewhisker, and Mousegrass returned and went straight to their nests. -
Willowflare glanced at Dayfawn. "There was no reason to reject her on the spot. I used to be a loner, too, ya know." She meowed. "Windclan accepted me. Theres no reason Gravelstar should deny you all." With that, Willowflare padded noiselessly into the warriors den. Carefully stepping over her clanmates, she curled up into her nest.
-
As much as he hated it Gravelstar was right the territory wasn't safe for him to be out in alone. Silentstripe reluctantly nodded his eyes really showing his exhaustion having been up for so long sprinting across the territory. As far as he knew he probably wouldn't make it halfway to the badger den he slept in before passing out. However he would not sleep in the warriors den, that was far to uncomfortable for him still. Also he couldn't stand how not once but twice he had been forced to run and leave willowflare to the rouges. He inwardly currsed his weakness, he would not run next time. He padded a short ways away from the warriors den out in the open and curled up ready to finaly rest. The wind picked that moment to start up again, it was going to be a cold night.
-
Dayfawn looked sadly at Silentstripe, and padded over. "I'm uncomfortable with all those cats, too," she admitted. "But it's too cold outside. Hey, that bush is huge, and it's in the camp. Want to make that a 'den' for tonight?" The pretty white she-cat's violet eyes were hopeful, and her black paws shone in the moonlight.
-
Silentstripe looked up at dayfawn his eyes glowing gold in the moonlight, "Thank you for the offer but I'll be fine out here." He mewed distantly. "I've slept out in the cold many times before." He layed his head back down but didn't close his eyes as he waited for some sort of arguement.
