Death is and option (Jump In!)

Back at WindClan camp, Amberclaw was having a similar dream, except that it only involved Tigerstar.

Crowfang unsheathed his claws, prepared to fight. A large bulky tom walked up, "Greetings, Crowfang. I am Brokenstar. You have violated our rules, so you must be punished. If you can survive, we'll let you stay." he flicked his tail, and three cats leaped at him, their black claws unsheathed. Crowfang whirled to slash one's face, but was raked in the back and flanks by the other two.

Amberclaw stared at Tigerstar."What do you want with me?!" she spat angrily, although she was shaking with fear on the inside.

Tigerstar flicked his tail calmly, "I want you to join us."

Crowfang clawed both cats, then whirled to tackle the third. The cats panted, blood seeping off of them. Crowfang panted, then collapsed.

"Why the sudden chang of heart, FATHER?!" Amberclaw spat angrily, claws digging into the dirt.

Tigerstar flicked his tail, "I was testing you. You seem like an exceptional fighter. Much better than that poor tom over there." he sneered, pushing back the ferns, revealling Crowfang's fight.

Brokenstar stalked up to Crowfang, "Oh? You've had enough? It hurts doesn't it? GOOD!!!" he picked Crowfang up by the scruff and shook him, tossing him over his shoulder.

Crowfang gasped in pain as he hit the ground, blood spraying from his mouth and nose.

Amberclaw glared at Tigerstar."If you don't make them stop hurting Crowfang, then I WILL!" she spat angrily, glaring deep into Tigerstar's eyes.

Tigerstar twitched his whiskers. He flicked his tail for her to follow, and padded out into the clearing, towards Brokenstar.

Crowfang lay on his side, his teeth gritted and eyes squeezed shut. Blood dripped from his mouth, and from a gash in his neck. A grey tabby pinned him down.

Amberclaw felt like she had no choice, so she followed Tigerstar over to Brokenstar.

Tigerstar whispered something to Brokenstar, then lept onto a tree stump, "DARK FOREST CATS!! This is my daughter, Amberclaw. Now will be the test of her acceptance. Amberclaw, show you are strong enough and blind Crowfang." he yowled.

Crowfang's eyes snapped open, glazed and clouded. he panted in fear, his fur prickling.

The grey tabby laughed and pinned him down harder.

Amberclaw looked up at Tigerstar, and answered loudly for all to hear."No, Tigerstar, I will not touch Crowfang!" she hissed challengingly.

Tigerstar narrowed his eyes, "Then we will." he flicked his tail to the grey tabby.

the tabby nodded and unsheathed his claws, aiming them at Crowfang's eyes.

Crowfang shut his eyes tightly, then tensed his muscles, waiting for the blow.

Amberclaw lunged the grey tabby, knocking him off of Crowfang, and then stood in front of him protectively."If anyone of you idiots wants Crowfang, then you'll have to go through me first!" she challenged.

The whole of the Dark Forest erupted in laughter. Only Tigerstar remained quiet. "Darkstripe, go and fetch Blackfoot." he meowed. Darkstripe dipped his head and raced into the trees.

Crowfang lay there panting, his eyes wild with fear.

Amberclaw stood where she was, not flinching or moving a muscle.

Tigerstar flicked his tail. Blackfoot thundered into the clearing, 'What is it?" Tigerstar stared at Amberclaw, "Finish her." Blackfoot nodded and padded toward her.

Blackfoot padded over to Amberclaw. He leaned in to whisper in her ear, "I don't want to hurt you. Leave now before something bad happens. Take your friend with you. I'll pretend to attack you." he meowed.

Crowfang shivered on the ground.

Amberclaw watched the tom approach calmly, still not moving a muscle from where she stood guard over Crowfang."I don't run from danger," she said calmly, looking over at Tigerstar when she said it.

blackfoot shook his head, "Just go, please. It'll be one fight you don't have to bleed from. Just go, please." he yowled loudly and lept at her, claws sheathed.

Crowfang gasped, his eyes wide in terror.
