  • "As much as I want to hate you, I just can't. I don't know why and it pisses me off because I want to hate you and I want you gone. But I can't let you leave." Dove told him, wrapping her arms around herself. She shook her head, unsure about how to put her thoughts into words. "Can we just.. start over?" She asked him sheepishly, knowing that they had gotten off to a bad start.

  • Riley looked at her for a couple seconds before he offered a small smile, placing his hand out. "The name's Riley.." he said, a teasing smile on his face. Start over? What we she want to do with 'starting over'? Though, she seemed to have possitively negative feelings about him. Or negatively possitive feelings, he couldn't really decide.

  • "Dove, nice to meet you." She said happily, a small smile spread across her face. She hoped that things wouldn't be as rigid and tense between them. Maybe with time their relationship would become more friendly and less hostile. She caught his gaze, "I'm sorry." She whispered, the smile softening.

  • Riley shrugged a little bit. "You have no reason to be sorry," he replied with a small nod. Well, she didn't really have one. He had annoyed her since he had mentioned her family... So it was his fault. Glancing at her, he glanced at the shades before he walked to the living room.

  • Dove watched him walk away, and turned back to her bed. She collapsed on top of it, letting out a loud sigh. For once, her mind was blank, unable to think of anything. It was a good feeling, but one that she knew wouldn't last for very long.

  • Riley sighed quietly, laying down on the couch. It was maybe...four or five? How could he tell with the blinds down anyways? Anyways, it was far too hard for him to want to look up at the sun. Who knows if he'd be blinded.

  • Dove changed into a different pair of clothes, slipping on a pair of cotton shorts and a tee shirt. She threw her other clothes in the dirty laundry bin and left her room. She went back to the chair she was sitting on before, taking her laptop and placing it back in her lap. She closed out of the vampire form, deciding to dismiss it all together.

  • Riley glanced at her, watching her on the lap top before he moved his gaze to the blinds. He could see the trapped light on the blinds...it was so strange looking, to him atleast. The darkness was something he was used to, definitely. Though, he hadn't been human for hundreds, almost thousands, of years.. The vampire had forgotten what it was like to be normal by now.

  • Dove glanced at Riley, raising her eyebrow. "What exactly are you intensely staring at my blinds?" She asked, trying to hold back a laugh. What an odd thing to be fascinated by.. She thought to herself.

  • Riley moved his gaze to her, smiling a little bit. "Hey, don't think I'm the crazy one.." he said with a small chuckle. "I wasn't...fascinated in it, thank you..." he replied with a bit more of a smile.

  • Dove let an amused smile slip onto her lips, "Yeah, sure." She snorted in a joking manner. "You look very intrigued by them."

  • Riley rolled his eyes playfully and looked back at the blinds. "I am not fascinated, or intrigued by your blinds..." he said, laughing a little bit. "Though if I actually was, what would you think?" He asked, his gaze flickering to her.

  • "I would think you were a little on the odd side." She said to him with a playful grin on her face, "But.. since you're not I can conclude your normal. Well normal enough." Dove said giggling.

  • Riley chuckled, looking over at her before back at the blinds. "Okay, so I'm normal..for a not so normal person?" he asked with a small chuckle, his gaze flickering back to her.

  • "Basically." She said to him, her laugh dying down. Dove watched him, forgetting that he could see her. For the first time, she got a really good look at him. Her eyes ran over all of his features, from his ghostly pale skin to his bright amber eyes. It all looked.. She couldn't eve give it a word. It all looked perfect.

  • Riley watched her gaze, getting slightly puzzled. Now that he was thinking about it, he hardly even looked at her ever since he had changed her. Looking at her carefully, he moved looked at her carefully before looking away. Dove did seem very different...Though vampires always changed when their blood stopped. But it wasn't like they fixed every of their imperfections. Riley thought of it more as just tweaking little problems so that the beauty was shown off more.

  • Dove shook her head, blinking. She turned to look at him, "So.." She said, looking around the room, "Wanna play a game or something?" Dove asked him, wondering if he had ever played a board game. He seemed to be from a different era, seeing the laptop seemed very foreign to him.

  • Riley glanced at her," like what?" Of course, most board games were probably knew. Chess was probably the only one he would know. Like that 'Chutes and Ladders' or whatever it was called.. He hardly even knew the names of half of the board games. Then again, the thing he was probably most suited to was a DVD player... Or probably a pen.. Shaking his head of the distraction, he looked back at her.

  • "Well I have a few we can choose from." She told him, pulling him up and taking him to the cabinet where she keeps her games for when family comes over. Dove stepped aside letting him look at the games, such as monopoly, apples to apples, life, twister, etc. "You pick."

  • Riley bit his lip as he looked at the selection. Seriously, none of these he was familiar with. Apples to apples? Who named a board game apples to apples? Life? Were half-dead people allowed to play such a game? Shaking his head, he moved his gaze to her. "You choose.."
