  • Choice, curled into a ball, tucking her nose into her tail. She glanced up for a second watching Chance catch a rat.... She blinked, got up and stretched, about to circle, so she could lie down. Right when she was folding her body to sleep, something bright hit her smack in the eyes. She yelped loudly in surprize and confusion. She squinted, looking up at the rare sun, she hadn't seen in a long time..... Then it was over just like that.... She felt dispare well up inside her, thinking of the time, when she was a care free pup running through the green fields. The insects chirped and bounced, the birds in the air, flitting, and twitting the morning songs. She wan't to howl at the world... How it was so unfair... As it is a small whine escaped her throat, as she sunk to the ground, head on her paws, gazing out at the sky longingly.

  • {ooc;; Thanks for taking my "ooc" design. > . >

{ic;; After a few minutes, Bonnie stood to her paws. The mere mouthful of kibble that she had gotten earlier was already digested and hunger was nagging at her stomach once more. Snarling under her breath, the black mutt approached the same bag of dog food and bent down, continuing to munch on the fairly tasteless bone-shaped pellets. Bonnie wasn't going to let Chance keep her from eating. Why was he so defensive over the bag while they still had 10 more bags, not to mention the ferret, the fish, an occasional mouse and numerous cans of dog food?

  • (OOC; Sorry, I didn't realize you did that. I just thought I saw it somewhere, and I used it. I guess I saw you doing it, but forgot it was you.}

Chance looked up from the rat, and saw Bonnie eating the dog food. He then dropped the dead animal, and he lunged at her, snapping his jaws. "What do you think you are doing?" He snarled, nearly hysterical. "This food is supposed to last us until the snow and ash clears away and we can hunt for more! When do you think that'll be?" He stopped himself from strangling her, and the fur along his spine rose into spikes. "What's wrong with you? Can't you take orders from your Alpha? Or do I have to remind you of my place?" He ranted, and glared at her. How could she be so stupid?

  • Bonnie snarled, leaping away with her hackles raised. The black mutt pinned her auricles flat against her skull. "Why can't I eat?! Choice just ate an entire can of dog food! Do you expect me to starve?" She growled, backing away from the spilled food and staring at her Alpha with eyes of hatred. Bonnie was furious; why couldn't she eat?!

  • The shepherd narrowed his eyes, watching the quarrel unfold. He hadn't seen how much food Bonnie had previously eaten, and maybe he had rushed to judgement. And so was the alpha. Looking around the store, it seemed as though they had plenty of food. Dog food, cans, and then... he hated to stoop so low, but there was cat food, too...

Mav continued to watch, body tense and ready to spring into action should something happen. He cared for everyone in here, but loyalty went to Bonnie first. If there was a fight, he'd back her up first.

  • "You ate nearly an entire dish-full! Choice barely ate anything. It was a can. It didn't have as much as you ate in it. Bonnie, you have just eaten two days worth of food..." His voice shook with rage. This food had to last more than 100 days - how were they going to manage that if the pack stole food? "Go outside for five minutes. That is your punishment. Better hold your breath, pig." He said coolly, eyes cold and hard. "I do not wish to see you in here until time is up. Time starts right went you exit the building." He stood, walking to the doors. He sat a few yards from the doors, waiting for the dog to go outside.

  • OOC. Ok, thanks ;)

IC. Mystik padded over to the fighting wolves. "What happened?" she asked, noticing Bonnie and Chance looking tense. Her amber eyes flicked from one to the other, her ears pricked forward with interest at the subject of the fight.

  • (OOC; We're dogs. c: || And sorry for short post, I want to have Tea post so I can type something new.)

"She stole food." He muttered, as he waited for Bonnie to go outside. He glared over at the female. His fur was still bristling; he felt betrayed. He felt his rank was being threatened by Bonnie and Maverick.

  • Mav stalked over to Bonnie, eyes alight. "She's not going out there." he said slowly, but firmly. "You know what happens to those that go out there. If the food is really that important, I'll give up mine for the day." The shepherd added. "But she is not going outside."

  • "You will not give up your food because of a dog not thinking. If you feel that protective about it, then she will not get her food for two days, no more, no less." He stood, and walked over to his dog bed in the back corner of the store. He kept his head up, so he could see what everyone was doing. He stayed in the same position for awhile, making sure no one would steal the food. He would not fall asleep until Bonnie did, to be extra-cautious.

  • Mav's eyes narrowed. "Ain't happening." he growled under his breath. He could understand conservation to an extend, but not this. It was too much. Turning to his female, Mav stuck his nose into her fur. "Come.. let's go."

  • "Go where?" Chance muttered, as he heard what Maverick said. They didn't have anywhere to go, except for maybe the other side of the store. Chance didn't actually care what they did; his Betas were starting to mean nothing to him. They were to ignorant and were turning into a threat. He curled into a ball, and lay his tail on his wet, black nose.

  • Alex slept peacefully, her tiny chest rising and lowering. She dreamt of being back with her family, back with Rex and Keegan, before the dark days. She was running to her parents, on long, swaying, green grass. Then, the ground shook, a crack appeared, sucking her parents inside. Alex was dragged back to reality because of this horrible nightmare. She lay awake, thinking about how she could have saved them. There was nothing you could do, she reassured herself. She uneasily fell back asleep. Alex Rose dreamt about being together with her family again, without the earthquakes.

  • Choice looked up watching the fight unfold, and the argument breaking out. She flattened her ears, as something about Chance showed itself a little too clearly. He's scared! she thought with shock... (He is right? Don't want to be Power playing...) Choice decided something had to be done then and there. Her eyes narrowed and stubbornness looked her muscles, into tense knots. She got up and stiffly walked over to Chance, her fur bristling with anxiety and her eyes flinty. This was the first dominance (ish) stand that she had ever done in her life. "I'm going to find more food" she said curtly "We can't live like this...It's ripping us apart" she was speaking to her mate, but her voice rang throughout the room. "And we need to remain strong, for what will come, and what will not" Her gaze was fierce, but it also had a begging look to it....Begging him to understand...

  • Chance raised his head as his mate stalked up to him, and he was surprised by her stance. "You will not go outside. You will suffocate..." Then again, Chance had no idea what it was like outside. Ash didn't always fall from the sky. It usually was just a cloud. But it was layered on the ground about 9 inches deep. He had once ventured out there when the ash was falling, and he'd nearly died. "If you go, I will be going with you." He said, sitting up. "When do you want to leave, Choice?"

Bonnie growled, her eyes furious. "I had two mouthfuls! That is barely enough food for a pup!" The mutt felt like shredding her alpha's fur off for being so naive. He wasn't even nearby when she took her first bite, what did he know?!

  • Mav gave Bonnie yet another nudge. "C'mon... let's just.. forget it. With what we're under.. everyone is stressed." he said slowly. He hoped stress was the only reason that the alpha was snappish. He had always trusted the alpha pairs judgement, but now he was beginning to doubt them. He hated feeling that way, but he couldn't shake the lingering feeling.

  • Choice swung her gaze toward the Beta pair her eyes penetrating... " You have to trust and listen to our judgement....It may be hard, but do it, to prevent harder times" after the initial shock that her mate was actually to company her, she realized what a risk it was... "Now" she said "We are to trust you to make a good judgement, while we are gone" her lip slightly curled as if to say Or else She shook her fur and peered into each of their eyes. "We-or I trust you" Silence fell upon her, only for her to restart. "Please take what you only need, in food, for we ate most of our supplies carelessly last month...Not much as you think, is left, so use it wisely" She then turned to her mate "We'll leave now..."

  • Bonnie stared at her Alpha female with crisp auburn irises. Trying to cool down and regain her alphas' trust, the mutt nodded her head. "Maverick and I will watch the pack while you're gone." She promised with the flick of her tail. Glancing at her mate, Bonnie's eyes pleaded that he could calm her and try to motivate her to lead the pack while their alphas left.

  • OOC. Oops, sorry! I meant dogs, but since my charrie is a wolf, I just said wolf accidentally. ;)

IC. Mystik looked at the four dogs who still seemed to have tension between them, but she could tell that they wanted to work together... Somewhat. The strress and shortage of food didn't bother Mystik. She had lived like this her whole life, except she had had it worse when she lived up north. She had a very small amount of food, about half of what these dogs ate, and to top it all of she worked as a sled dog when the huge gold rush had happened. Because of all this, Mystik could control her temper and hunger through times like this, for she was adapted to this lifestyle, and had almost no problem with it, except for the fighting. She decided that if it happened again, she would take action, not in a disrespectful way, but in a way to prove to them that fighting was useless.
