Fang completely forgot about meeting with Jade. He raced back to camp, calling out her name.

Tapi nodded. "Maybe we should hold her apprenticeship back." she barked. "That seems punishment enough." The husky stared at the rock wall with wonder and concern in her ice-blue eyes. Oh Sky Pack, what was she doing?! she wondered.
Fang dipped his head to Jade. "I apologize, Jade. I was late for the hunting patrol. I was looking for Mavis. Want to go hunting now?"
Destiny peered out of the pup den. She saw Mavis. The pup's tail began to wag. "Mavis! Mavis!" the husky-pup cried excitedly, wagging her fluffed-up tail.

Destiny tilted her head. "But I want to go now!" she mumbled, complaining, as she watched her friend pad away Fine, maybe I'll go alone. "Fang!" the pup called out.
Fang lifted up his head from Jade. "Yes?" he called to Destiny.

Jade nodded stiffly and padded out of the camp. When she was about to leap into the bushes to go to a great hunting place she turned around, making sure Fang was following
