In Character: As soon as Sparkpaw felt the sun on her, she leaped up out of her sleeping position. She couldn't sleep at all the previous night, for her anticipation and excitement were too much. Bounding about camp, all the cats awake gave her odd looks;she was almost never this happy. After her little prancing spree, she quietly approached the warriors' den. Seeing that her mentor, Lightpool, was not yet awake, she trotted back to the apprentice's den to see if her siblings were awake. Her brown eyes scanned the den for Fernpaw and Tigerpaw, but neither were to be found. "They must be on patrol with their mentors," she whispered to herself. The sun bore down on her, lighting up her calico fur. She let the sun beam down on her for a few moments, before turning in circles and sitting, patiently watching the warriors' den.
