She jumped up and rushed back to camp. She saw Fireheart lying on the cold ground. " Fireheart!" she mewed in his ear. She knew he could hear her. "You are my kit," she whispered slowly. " I had you when the clan was being rebuilt. The clan didn't know. So I left you in a hollow to be found by another clan. They would never guess your father would be Hawkfrost." she looked at the white sky and wondered why she had done it. " I loved you but, I needed to save you." she murmed then padded backwards. Away, the deputy left the clan, with Fireheart in her jaws, padding softly away.
