Shadekit needs best friends forever :D

    Shadekit huddles next to her mother, Dawnflower. She whimpers when she sees all the other kits playing in the fresh blanket of snow. Shadekit lowers her head. She's envious of her sisters, they have so many friends while she, on the other hand, has none. She wishes she was outside with the other kits, she was just too shy.

    rainkit was in the corner of the nursury, ignored by everyone because her size was so small, and she rarly talked. she was always looked over, even by the lonely shadekit, watching the the other kits enviously. the only reason rainkit knew that, though, was because she could read emotions very well. she wanted to go say hi, but she had problems trusting people, and she thought anyone she talked to, she trusted. she decided to give friendship a try though, and see how it goes. as she was about to meow hi, when one of shadekit's sister's rushed in. "HEY! wanna come play with us?" the sister said, loudly. rainkit ran back to her corner.

    "BADGERKIT!" Shadekit hissed, "DON'T YELL! YOU KNOW THAT RAINKIG IS SHY!" Shadekit walked over to Badgerkit and unsheathed her claws.

    rainkit looked startled and gasped. "no!!!!!!!!" she gasped, talking for the first time in a moon. she shoved herself between the two siblings, forcing shadekit and badgerkit apart. she looked at them, a wild look in her eye. she hated fighting. she had horrible dreams- no- nightmare's about fighting. she didnt want ANY fighting.

    Shadekit stared at Rainkit, astonished. Badgerkit growled and walked out the nursery "flea-brained idiots..." she grumbled. Shadekit glared at Badgerkit. "don't mind her, she's more flea-brained all the two-legs combined" she growled. Shadekit hated her sister more than anything.

    rainkit ran back to her corner, looking like a hunted mouse. she spoke. she had spoken to shadekit. she was so angry at herself. why? why did she speak? all of this was going on in her head when she felt herself talk. "its okay..." she whispered. then, ashtonished, she hid her head. was she friends with shadekit now? everyone knew the rules. she didnt talk toy you unless you were her friend. and she had spoken to shadekit, and shadekit had spokent to her.

    Shadekit tilts her head and walks up to Rainkit. "What's wrong?" She mewed "You look like you've seen Sharp Tooth" Shadekit has heard many stories of Sharp Tooth and how fierce he was.

    rainkit closed her eyes, and for awhile it looked like she was aslepp. then she opened them really fast and said, "no, i havent seen a sharp tooth, adn yes, i have heard the stories too. i admire how you aren't afraid to stand up against badgerkit, when i, myself, aren't. i have spoken to you, as i am now, and you have spoken to me. we can be friends, if you like. just promise me one thing.... we will be true and loyal friends to the end." when she spoke that, she sounded like a mature warrior. she looked at shadekit with the eyes of a scared rabbit, taking a bet that no cat would scent it if it ran into their den.

    Shadekit smiled and flicked Rainkit's ear with her tail, playfully. "Course, we'll be true friends til the end!" She giggled and started bouncing around. "So whattya wanna play?"

    "Oh, okay...be right back!" She tumbled out of the den and ran towards the fresh-kill pile. When no-one was looking, she snatched up a vole and ran back into the nursery. "Here," she dropped the vole in front of Rainkit. "I used to play this with my brother, all we have to do is pretend that we're warriors and we're catching prey for the clan! Here, watch!" Shadekit got into a hunter's crouch and waited a moment, then jumped at the vole and used her back legs to claw its back. "See, like that!" She squeaked "you try!"

    rainkit crouched, and lept at the vole, snatching in up with her paw, careful not to make it bleed, and tossed it into the air towards shade kit, making a high arc in the air.

    Shadekit jumps up, snatches up the vole and throws it to the ground, feeling proud, like a real warrior. "That was fun!" She squeaked.

    "Awesome!" Shadekit mewled. She wished she could run that fast, but she had an injury in her right paw that prevented her from running too fast.
