She stood under the awning of a store. It was pouring down ran and she was soaked

  • [align=center]Hello!

Don't have time right now, but I WILL come back to this.

Quick Q, about what age frame are we looking at? Teens? Early twenties? Adults?

  • [align=center] OHMIGAWSH! I'm very sorry here, but THE DAY I was to come back to this... we left for a different state for Christmas. But, I'm here, and I will now be replying, as it is later, and i promised I would reply... later.

Quick "application," just because for some reason I like them.

    Okay!

Dee, a 22 year old returning from doing a little birthday shopping for his brother, unfolded his umbrella and pressed the button for the crosswalk to change.

"I already did that five minutes ago, mister, and it did nothing." Rasped an older man under a raincoat beside him.

"I'm sorry." Dee said, unsure what to say otherwise.

The crosswalk changed that moment and he hurried across. He was not a huge fan of the rain unless he was inside. Normally he would have kept walking, but there was a girl standing in the rain, shivering, soaking, not a raincoat or umbrella in sight.

Trying to be a kind person, he walked over and held the umbrella over the two of them. He smiled and looked over at her. "Hello." He said, for it would have been strange to hold an umbrella over her head and say nothing.

OOC: I'm sorry! The posts get shorter, I swear.

  • [align=center]Dee looked at her with curiosity, trying to read her expression. Suddenly, it came to him that she was probably afraid.

"I'm not going to hurt you. You're going to drown on dry land if you stand here dripping anymore."

  • [align=center] Dee contemplated options for a moment.

"Okay..." he said slowly, "You'll have to trust me, but if you come with me I can get you some dry clothes and a place to stay. Easy." He offered, shooting a smile.

  • [align=center]"Only if you're willing." He insisted.

  • [align=center]He smiled weakly. "No need to call me 'sir,'" he chuckled, "Just call me Dee. "

  • [align=center]"Lynn. I had a goldfish named Lynn. My parents ended up -" He stopped, "Different story for a different time. C'mon, I'll see what I can do in getting you an apartment..." He began walking towards the skyscraper-filled part of the skyline, expecting, and hoping she would follow.

  • [align=center]He looked back over his shoulder. "No need to be shy," he said, offering the umbrella.

  • He smiled faintly, but he still felt as if she were obeying so she wouldn't be harmed. 'I'm not going to hurt you, I swear."
