BACKGROUND: Create a dragon and join the war! The dragon groups of Scorchius have revolted against the humans, but not all dragons side with their kin. There are 5 main species of dragons in Scorchius, Leatherwings, Hydras, Water Dragons, and Lava Dragons. The 5th, Cosmic Dragons, haven't decided to join the war yet.
DRAGONS:
Leatherwings
Leatherwings are named for their leathery wings that allow fast takeoff and easy gliding through the air. These wings have tendons like bats for movement and have sharp, hooked claws at the tips. They are somewhat short, but they rear up onto their hind legs to fight. They have 4 legs with hooked talons. They are extremely loyal to their cause, which is why the war split their kingdom in half. They CAN breathe fire. They live in the forest, preying on birds and other forest game.
Water Dragons
Water Dragons live underwater; their castle is made of coral. They are serpent-like with penguin-feather-like wings and opposable thumbs for catching big fish, sharks or whales. They fight against the humans, since they pollute their territory.
Lava Dragons
Lava Dragons live inside magma chambers under volcanoes. Their bodies can withstand extreme pressure, so they can escape into their volcanoes without being pursued. They fight against the humans because of a long rivalry with the Hydras. Hydras and Lava Dragons always quarrel over fields of prey, since the Hydras live in the sky with a few birds to eat, and Lava Dragons don't have any prey in the volcanoes. Lava Dragons can spurt lava from pores on their back, and breathe BLUE FYAH!!! Note that they die if they get something below room temperature in their lava spurting pores, and con only spurt lava if they have absorbed it from their volcanoes first.
Hydras
Hydras fight alongside the humans, which control many fields of prey for them. They have three heads each, making them formediable fighters. The heads on the left and right can breathe fire and ice but have no teeth, and the center head has jagged fangs, but no breath power. They beat the Lava Dragons in many wars, but the Lava Dragons have allied with the other dragons, who have never fought the Hydras before, but do now because the ally with the humans. Hydras have humans defend fields, so they are now a target for the Dragon Alliance (all the dragons fighting the humans).
Cosmic Dragons
Cosmic Dragons have a secret kingdom hidden from the other dragons by a spell. Yep, Cosmic Dragons use magic spells for fighting. They have claws and fangs too, so no dragon dares to attack them. They are peaceful but have a well-discplined army that protects them from terrorists, but terrorists are the only thing their army has ever fought.
Humans and the Start of Dragon War I
Humans have ruled a kingdom near the dragons, but recently they have trespassed on dragon owned land. They started by cutting down Leatherwing forests, which angered the anti-human Leatherwings. Some Leatherwings say that a few trees don't matter much, and side with the humans. The Leatherwings began a civil war that rages on now. The humans took advantage of this and cut down more trees. Finally the anti-human Leatherwing army, led by Charcoal, a deep black Leathrwing male (and my RP dragon), call themselves the Bold Leatherwings and attacked the human loggers. The human allied Leatherwings, led by a purple Leatherwing female named Lavender, call themselves the Peacekeepers (contrary to the name, they have an army that fights the Bold Leatherwings) assisted the humans at the Battle of the Lumberyard. It was a bloody battle, but the Bold Leatherwings managed to win, pushing the Peacekeepers out of the forest edge. The humans regrouped and called on the Hydra's assistance. The Peacekeepers attacked the Leatherwing castle in a fight known now as the Destruction of the Castle. The Peacekeepers fought at the castle wall. They were beaten back out of the forest, but had succeeded in destroying the castle. It is now being rebuilt, but it is a slow process since the army is focused on the war. The Bold Leatherwings called the Lava Dragons to help fight the Hydras. Also, the Water Dragons joined the war after human ships had harpooned them in the ocean. They united to form the Dragon Alliance. The humans have built a large navy and deployed it to kill the Water Dragons.
Also, human forces have marched toward the Leatherwing Forest for another fight there. The Peacekeepers are with them. The Hydras fortified the fields under their control and fly toward the Lava Dragons' volcanoes.
