"Okay." Brakenstar knew she was lying, but he wrapped his tail around hers. "Leafswirl, you can tell me anything you know..." he began, but didn't know how to tell her how he felt; he wanted her to feel safe and he liked her, but couldn't find the words to say it.

"I wouldn't tell a lite to you," Leafswirl said, blushing

Mapleleaf shook her angry thoughts away, she had duties to do. She glanced at Leafswirl, who still looked angry and sad, and decided she'd get over it. Maybe someday when Mapleleaf was Leader, she'd choose Leafswirl as deputy. Mapleleaf got up and padded over to Leafswirl and Brakenstar, but when she saw Brakenstar, she stopped and turned around to go to the fresh-kill pile.

"I know you woundn't" he purred as he burried his nose in her fur. After a minute he asked her "Do you want to go hunting together? Just you and me?"

"Oh, o-okay." Leafswirl stuttered.

Mapleleaf was going to ask them to go on a hunting patrol with her, who was she going to go with now? Mapleleaf glanced around camp for anyone who wanted to go.

"Okay! But first lets check with Mapleleaf to see if we're on a patrol." He said as he padded over to Mapleleaf "Are me and Leafswirl on any patrols today?"

Mapleaf barely noticed Brakenstar. "Leafswirl's on a evening patrol, but none for you." Maplelef answered without facing Brakenstar.

"Okay" was all he said before padding back over to Leafswirl "You have evening patrol"

"Okay," she said, her eyes didn't show her emotions.

"Well we do a little hunt before you go out on patrol." He suggested; it was a little past sun high and there was plenty of time before Leafswirl goes out on patrol.

"Let's go," she purred.

"Okay, where should we go?" Brakenstar asked
Wildkit was exicted; tomorrow was the day she turned 6 moons old; Brakenstar will give her an apprentince name and she can train to be a warrior, but who will be her mentor.
Shadeflower was also excited that Wildkit is becoming an apprentince tomorrow. "Wildkit, how about you go outside of the nursery and play with someone? Tomorrow is a big day, but you should get some excersise, talk to the others, and maybe even make a friend for life."
"Okay mama." Wildkit said before running out of the nursery. She saw Bluetail Maybe I can play with him she thought to herself before bounding over to him "Hi Bluetail!" She squeaked "Can you play with me?"

"I've told anyone, but I found a cave thriving with prey," she mewed.

Mapleleaf saw Wildkit and smiled. She was bored, she had nothing to do.

"Then take me there!" he meowed happily, he flet like a newly anounced apprentince; all excited and bouncy.

She led him to a large cave.

"Lets start hunting!" He said quietly before spotting a large, plump vole. he crouched and started to creep up on it, but the vole saw him and scrabbled up to him; it was obvious that these animals have not seen a cat before. As quick a lightning he struck the vole on it's back before it could do anything. He picked up the prey and walked up to the entrance "Leafswirl? Where do I put the prey?"

She flicked her tail towards a hole in the wall of the cave. A small mouse approached her, she didn't want to kill it. So she let crawl on her back. "Look at him! Isn't he adorable!" Leafswirl mewed.
