His father asked, "Who were you talking to?"
He sat up straight, "No one dad, I was singing."
His father glared, "You better not be saying things you shouldn't, or you'll regret it. -
She sat up and went on her computer.
-
After several hours of playing his guitar some more, he went to bed around nine. He couldn't sleep well, he tossed and turned all the night.
-
She passed out and kept waking up in the middle of the night. So she went to get some water.
-
At about one he got up and went to sit outside and watch the stars. They were beautiful. He wondered what Skylar was doing, probably sleeping.
-
She went to her room and drank her water. She thought about Nathan and wondered why he hung up so fast. She shrugged and sat down on her bed.
-
After a while he finally went back to sleep.
-
She fell asleep.
In the morning, she got up and got dressed.
-
Nathan got up and got dressed. He started his daily walk to scool. When he heard his father's drunken voice.
"Where are you going?"
"School, dad."
"Your coming straight home after school. I'll have no dallying."
"Whatever."
"YOU WILL NOT WHATEVER ME!"
So being late for school and having several new bruises was not the best start to the day. He tried to stay happy, but that would obviously be hard. -
She saw him in the halls with new bruises. "Are you okay?" She asked.
-
"No." he said coldly. He kept walking.
-
She watched him. She decided to leave him be. She walked into class.
-
He felt bad for being so rude. He just didn't want to talk about it. God why do I always screw stuff up? No wonder no one erver wants to talk too me! he thought to himself.
-
She finished class and walked to the next class.
-
At lunch, he went to the library and read. He wasn't hungry and he didn't really want to face. Skylar.
-
She ate her lunch quietly as her friends gossiped. She sighed when her sandwich was gone.
-
After eating and reading for a bit, Nathan wandered the halls, thinking.
-
She got up and walked away.
-
Nathan kept wandering, hoping to fknd a solution to his many problems within the walls in these halls.
