    Silentwind nodded and smiled at her. He turned toward the entrance on the camp and looked at her. He mouthed "Shall we?"

    Leaf nodded and stood up then headed out of the entrance. Once there, she stopped to wait for Silentwind.

    At that moment, Rivermask, Arc and a kit arrived. Rivermask was carrying herbs and Arc carried the kit.
    Bluekits mouth was wide in indignation. "Put me down!" she squeaked. "Hey!"

    Arc set the kit down between him and Rivermask. He made another imitation sigh ,he looked to Rivermask for further instructions.

    Froststripe dashed back to the camp holding a couple of fat rodent-like creatures. He put them down and looked around.
    "Who is mewling? They sound like a kit."

    Leaf looked back and saw some commotion. She glanced back at Silentwind, who was trotting after her with a little smile on his face. But something was wrong at the moment, and if she was the leader of the Clan she had to find out what exactly it was. She looked at Silentwind apologetically. "I'm sorry, but can we first go see what's going on?" she flicked her tail towards the camp entrance where Bluekit and Rivermask and Arc stood.

    Bluekit put on a brave face, but her insides chuned with fear. Don't let it show. "I suppose you won't let me go without an answer?" Not giving any cat the chance do confirm or deny it, she swept on "If I must, my name is Bluekit." She glared at all the cats around her.

    "It?" spat the kit. "Yes, it is a kit." mewed Bluekit cuttingly. "And it is wondering what all you cats are doing here. You don't have the scent of any clans I know of, and you onviously are a Clan."


    Rivermask observed the kit. She had a tone that sounded like she was surrounded by allies, supirior, bbut there was fear scent flooding off her. Interesting. This kit is acting brave so we don't harm her. she guessed.

    Leaf padded over and took one glance at the kit. "It's alright, we won't hurt you," she reassured the Bluekit, though she was pretty sure that she wouldn't take too kindly to the reassurance, she seemed pretty stiff at the moment.


    "And yes, we are a Clan," she added, noting that she ineed seemed to know about the Clans.

    Curious in spite of herself, Bluekit asked "what clan are you? I've never encountered one like yours." She remembered Nightclan. They would have ripped her apart if she had strayed into their territory. Maybe that was just them, but her experience with Clans was not the most pleasant.


    Rivermask looked questioningly at Leaf. They still didn't have a name.

    Leaf thought about it for a moment then replied honestly, "We don't really have a name right now. We've just formed our Clan, actually. It's not fully developed yet."

    Bluekit nodded. "are you the leader?" she asked. "the elders told me how Starclan decided on the names of the original clans."

    "Yes, I'm the leader," Leaf meowed.


    As Blueki was mentioning how the elders had talked to her about how the original Clans were named by StarClan, she wondered just how much exactly this little kit knew about the Clans and StarClan. She must've been a part of a Clan at one point. "Speaking of Clans, how do you know so much about them?" Leaf asked, tipping her head to one side in slight confusion.

    Sandclaw went off to hunt, scenting the air in concentration.


    Cindertail waited for her apprentice, Rainpaw, to catch up. She knew that Leaf was very busy with other matters in the Clan, despite her harsh temper sometimes, she knew everything, and that was why she had left without a complaint.

    Melanie looked around, feeling a bit awqward. Was she supposed to stay here or go away... Nobody had made it clear to her. Looking down at her paws, she waited for some help.

    Leaf scented the air. This forest was really full of cats... it's had more cats than she'd ever seen in her life. She turned around the Melanie, a little bit overwhelmed by Melanie and Bluekit both at once.

    "My mother was in Nightclan." explained Bluekit. "She left, and took me and Reedkit with her. I don't know where she is now."


    Rivermask looked curiously at her. "so you were calling for your mother, back there?"
