Wishfur considered. "Share it with someone, though. There is'nt much."
Talonclaw picked out a mouse, making sure it was smaller. He offered the other to Wishfur.

Frost sighed and curled his tail around his paws, gazing intently at Rivermask and Bluekit.
Fang let out a huff; she was starved. Really really hungry. She hadn't eaten ever since the had spoken with Leaf at the meeting, and that was... like, forever ago. She glanced up. "There's not that many cats, there's enough prey to go around for every cat," she protested.
Heartpaw decided to go hunting. Heartpaw started to go all by herself and picked up her all reddy cought mouse.
Fang growled. "Heartpaw!" she called. "Do you want to get lost out there? Then get back!"
Talonclaw shook his head. "Maybe for today, not so much for tommorrow. And not every cat can eat well. Elders and queens eat first. Kits, too. That is the warrior code."
Rivermask nodded. "You can have my mouse, Fang." she said.
Fang shook her head at Heartpaw. "Come back!" she meowed again, then she gave a stare at Rivermask and Talonclaw. "Look," she growled. "There aren't any kits right now except for Bluekit, but she can't eat because she's sick. And then there's no elders."
Rivermask began to lose her patience. "That isn't the point." she growled. "In clans, the clan must be fed first. And bluekit can eat, just not now."
Bluekit stirred. "Melanie?"
Melanie's cough rose again, this time it was harder and more often. Opening her eyes, alarm spread over her. Her lungs were closing up! Breaths came shorter, raspier. With only one word she could manage, she tried, "FROst." The she-cat's voice started strong but ended up a whisper. Any second could be her last. She needed the medicine cat but more importently... Frost.
Arc sighed. The ash covered most of the ground. He couldn't see any grass exept what was still smouldering orange. He trudged along his paws brushing the ash with every step. "Iv'e come a long way...I wonder if anyone noticed my absense yet...?" he thought to himself. He looked ahead barely catching it. A tiny sliver of grass. Followed by a few more. Arc sped up seeing more and more patches of grass.
Frost was staring at Fang and Rivermask's conversation, or more of an argument, when all of the sudden he heard his name. It was quietly said, and he wasn't sure if he had really heard it at first or if it were just his imagination or the breath of the wind. But then, as he glanced at Melanie, she said it again, and he padded over hurriedly.
Fang unsheathed her claws but dug them into the soil and shook her head, not saying anything in response.
Rivermask turned to Melanie. "Frost is here." she said gently. "Can you take some more honey?" she pulled some more forward. She turned, looking for Arc. "Arc, can you watch Bluekit?"
Bluekit struggled to her feet. Wobbling towards Melanie, she curled up beside her.
Rivermask sighed. "That works too."
Heartpaw came back. "can I go at all?!" she asked but it was more of a hiss than words "is there ANYONE I can hunt with?"
Wishfur finished her mouse. "You can hunt with me and Talonclaw."
Heartpaw rushed over to Wishfur "oh yes!"
Wishfur stood up.
Talonclaw finished as well, and said more cheerfully "Let's see if there are any more rabbits out there. We could teach you the best way to hunt as a team."
Melanie's eyes set on Frost allowing her to smile between short breaths. Feeling the warm sensation from Bluekit, she felt safer and more relaxed.
Bluekit looked up. "My throat hurts." she mewed. "But not so much as my head. I'm cold and hot."
Rivermask nodded. "Eat this. You'll feel better." she pushed forward the catmint.
Bluekit took what she had been offered. Screwing up her face, she said "I'm almost 6 moons."
Fang glared at Heartpaw; she hated her world right now, just hated it. She disliked Talonclaw and Wishfur for not wanting her to eat the prey, she disliked Heartpaw because a newcomer who knew nothing about logic had come in, she disliked Rivermask because although he was a medicine cat he was so obsessed with the warrior code, and Leaf for handing out so mouse-brained orders.
Frost shot a glare at Fang before settling down and purring softly at Melanie. Then he glanced at Rivermask. "Will we be strong enough to travel?"
Rivermask considered. "Melanie is too injured to move now, and everyone needs rest."
Bluekit glanced around. "I'm almost old enough to be an apprentice. Can I if I'm sick?"
Frost glanced at Bluekit. "You'll have to ask Leaf," he meowed. "But I think that she might raise the standards a little bit. You might have to wait a few more moons."
(Can't cats be in more than one thread at once now? I think I can still have Leaf in this thread..)
