Parasite nodded. "No problem." he replied, curling into a black ball and falling asleep.
The morning came slowly. Parasite blinked against the white light from outside the cave. It had snowed last night, and now the ground was white and the river was frozen. He got up slowly, hoping not to wake any of the other wolves. He padded outside, the snow making his pads ice cold. But he needed to hunt. Nearly an hour later, Parasite returned, dragging a young buck elk inside the cave, and dropped it with a loud thump.
Parasite smiled a bit. "Thanks. Haven't caught anything this big in a while." he barked, tearing off a chunk off the elk and tossing it to Aderyn. It landed at her paws.
