Floodkit batted the ball up into the air towards Brokenkit, scampering around to the other side of him, so he could throw it in a different direction.

Brokenkit saw the ball coming at a different angle and he twisted his body to hit the black ball right back at Floodkit. 'This is kinda fun' he thought happily

Floodkit caught the feather ball while laying on her back, writhing on the ground with it. "I have a feeling this things gonna be in shreds by the time we're done with it!" She called over to Brokenkit.

Brokenkit stopped with the throwing of thee ball "Then I don't want to ruin it, it is your gift" he said

Floodkit stopped abruptly and stared at him with her bright green eyes. "As long as we have fun with it, I'm fine." She meowed, wondering why Brokenkit had to get worried so easily.

Brokenkit smiled and slambed his paw into the ball sending it in Floodkit's direction "Catch!" he yelled as it was sent hurtling at Floodkit. He stopped and looked over at the forest before he spoke to Floodkit "I've got to go. I hope to see you once more Floodkit but, by then we will both be strong warriors. You got that?!" He suddenly turned and bounded into the forest accidetaly leaving his necklace in a small mound of snow

Floodkit looked down at her paws sadly. She shrugged, continuing to play with her feather ball. She suddenly caught a glimpse of something sparkling a few feet away. She padded up to it and picked a strange looking string out of the snow.

She looked at the small mouse toy at her paws.

Floodkit batted at it a little. It made a strange rattling noise and she flinched backwards, dropping it.

She smiled and batted at the toy.

Floodkit left the necklace to lay there, even though it had a trace of Brokenkit's scent. I already miss him... She thought, lonely and bored.

BlackKit woke up and yawned. He saw a present next to him, and blushed as he padded towards Floodkit, "Hi..."

Floodkit smiled delightedly. "Hi!" She meowed excitedly, bouncing around Blackkit like a teasing rabbit. "Whatcha wanna do?" She asked, already heading towards her feather ball.

"Let' s play!" He purred and started to open his present to see what was inside.

Floodkit looked to see if there was another present for her under the tree. She found a sparkly red one with her name on a name tag shaped like a raven. She shredded the paper off of it to find a crackling tunnel thing. "What is it?" She meowed, half to herself.

"I got....a....." He looked at the scratching post.

There was a small fluffy ball at the enterance to the tunnel. She leapt at it, but the ball went in the opposite direction and she went skidding into the tunnel with a loud crackling noise.

He padded over, and looked at Floodkit "Are you ok?"

Floodkit was laughing hysterically. "Of course I am! This is fun!" She exclaimed. Running around in circles in the tunnel as it made more crackling noises.
