Lyra pulled her knees to her chest, sitting on her bed. She tried hard not to let tears fall as she heard her parents yelling at each other downstairs. It probably wouldn't feel as bad as it did if she didn't know they were yelling about her. But she did know. Her mother was convinced that her daughter was crazy and was trying to send her away to asylum but her father thought having a kid sent there would make his business look bad so he kept insisting that it was just a phase. Even though Lyra had been talking about invisible, dead people since she was three and now was fifteen. She sighed, letting the first few tears fall as she hugged her knees closer to her chest. She wished that she talk to someone who wouldn't think she was crazy the moment she mentioned ghosts.
