  • Spottedflame looked down at Red, feeling a little bad that the young tom was so scared. "What's so wrong?" He asked once more, trying very hard to get Red to tell him the truth. Perhaps if Red told him what was really wrong he might be able to help.. Maybe?

  • Spottedflame looked at the tom sympathetically. "Everyone's afraid of something. That's okay. The only thing you can do when you're afraid is face your fears, you know." He meowed as he peered into the cave for the she-cats deep inside. He felt as though he needed to race inside to keep them safe, but he knew that he needed to be there for his friend.

  • "A dark reddish/brown mix." She tells FireFlower.

OOC: I'm still trying to figure out an exact pelt color for her, so it might change.

  • "I'm right here." Spottedflame told his friend, keeping his tail gently on Red's flank, just in case it might help. Inside truly was dark, extremely. But there were four she-cats and only two toms. That meant that both tom's needed to be as strong and brave as possible, to protect the others. Though Strikedpelt and Fireflower were admirable fighters Red and Spottedflame still needed to protect the rest of their small group with their lives.

  • Red nodded and went into the cave step by step. "Hey! there's a tunnel over here!" Swift purred and poked her head out of a hole, big enough for a badger to fit through. "It's really big! And it has nests!" Mud's voice echoed throughout the cave walls. "Be careful you two, there may be some trace of a badger" Red sighed and slowly followed the trail of his sisters.

  • Spottedflame noticed that Red's sisters hadn't answered. His ears perked up as he tried to listen for them This place was too dangerous for them to be exploring and playing and now they weren't even answering their brother's calls.

  • Those stubborn little- Red's thoughts were cut off by a wailing cat. Red stopped in his tracks when he saw a large brown tom standing over Fireflower and his sisters. The ginger tom couldn't speak a word, couldn't even call for help.

  • Spottedflame raced toward the new cat, fur bristling. He plucked up Swift from less than a tail-length away from the tom. Spottedflame put the small she-cat in front of Red. "Get her out!" He ordered Red as he picked up the other kit. He didn't know what the tom wanted but he feared that he might go after the kits first, and he couldn't let that happen.

  • Red shook his head, free from his trance, and ran out of the small cave, Swift in his jaws. Fireflower however stood up to the tom. "You!" she hissed and unsheathed her claws. "What do you want?" the tom didn't answer the orange she-cat, but it was obvious they had some sort of connection.

  • The brown tom hissed and pinned down Fireflower "I've told you to stay out of my way!" he held one paw on the orange she-cats chest, the other on her tail. "I told YOU to stay out of my life!" Fireflower hissed. She coudln't do anything. She was helpless.

  • StrikedPelt stood back, she smiled the slightest, and ran forward, claws outstretched, about to crash into the Tom to knock him off FireFlower, and send him crashing to the ground.

  • Fireflower gasped for air. "Thanks Strikedpelt" she smiled and turned back to the tom. "You told me to stay out of your way. I have. Why do you still hate me?!" the orange she-cat hissed. "Because your kitting killed our mother!" the brown tom had gotten back up, still staggering from the blow from Strikedpelt

  • That must be her brother. She thought to herself.

Interesting situation. My brother is dead, and her's hates her. Life truly isn't fair.

Nevertheless, she unsheathed her claws, ready to attack again.
