    The leader howled in pain, before it's eyes clouded and it fell.

    Icefire was clinging to life, her neck and hind leg bleeding badly as her kit crawled toward her.

    Elmbranch crouched below his brother,timberfire.Jaggedclaw went over to.Ravenstripe,Timberfire's mate looked at him.Her two kits,Pebblekit and Ridgekit huddled near her."Is he alive?"she asked,her voice sad."He is badly wounded get the medicine cat!"elmbranch said."Now!"

    "Timberfire, Trouttail, Elmbranch and Jaggedclaw. You take care of the fox, while I help Icefire." Brightcloud panted heavily, padding to Icefire. "I'll go get cobwebs for the bleeding. Please, hang on!" She pleaded. On her way to get cobwebs, she picks up Bluekit and sets her beside Icefire. "You'll be okay, little one." Brightcloud says to Bluekit.

    Stormwing was growling in pain, still expecting kits.

    Ravenkit looked at his mother, and whimpered with fear.

    "Here," Brightcloud mewed, wrapping Icefire's leg with cobwebs. "The bleeding should stop soon." Brightcloud looks to Ravenstripe. "Do you mind suckling Bluekit for now? Icefire's in a lot of pain.."

    Icefire nodded off, her tail still twitching as she slept through the pain.

    Bluekit heard Brightcloud, and shuffled deeper into her mother's belly fur.

    "It's okay, little Bluekit. There is nothing to fear. I think Icefire can take care of you, now." Brightcloud says to Bluekit, gently.

    "Yes i will take care of bluekit for now"Ravenstripe meowed,sadly.She padded over to Timberfire."Don't die now"she meowed,curling up next to him with her kits.

    Stormwing nodded to Brightcloud, and nudged Ravenkit toward the she-cat, shivering with fear and worry.

    Ravenkit cried, but walked forward any way.

    "Whats wrong with him mommy?"Ridgekit asked."Is daddy ok?"Pebblekit asked.Ravenstripe nodded."He'll be ok kits"she meowed.

    Brightcloud licked the small kit's head. "It's okay, Ravenkit. You're mother is just kitting. I'll help you for now." She said, wrapping her tail around the kit.

    The surviving foxes had regrouped near the camp entrance, plotting to avenge their fallen leader.

    Bluekit stared at the other two kits, and went back to looking at Ravenkit.

    Ravenkit huggled closer to Brightcloud.

    Stormwing wailed in pain. "Help me! Isn't the medicine cat coming?!"

    The medicine cat apprentice ran in."Lilystep is helping timberfire"he meowed."I am helping you"he meowed."Get her in the corner!"he meowed,putting moss in the corner.

    Lilystep put cobwebs on timberfire's wounds."He is ok but he is badly hurt.She made him eat a berry.

    Ravenstripe heard Rowanstar yell,"Graystorm,Blackowl,Moonshadow,Tigerscar and Tingerclaw guard camp"he ordered.Ravenstripe waited as Timberfire lifted his head and sat up."Your alive!"pebblekit meowed,hopping around like a monkey."Pebblekit!"ravenstripe meowed,grabbing his scruff and putting him in her nest with Ridgekit.
