She spun happily and started to descend.
The male dropped, grabbing Nocte and opening his wings.

Shade watched as the dragon grabbed Nocte.

Nocte wiggled and shook, trying to free herself, but her wings were folded over her wings at a painful angle. She roared in pain and bit one of the legs. The dragon growled and dropped her.

Shade shifted and went to catch her.

She tried to open her wings but was only able to cry out in pain.
The male saw Shade and flew quickly away.

He caught her. Then he flew to the ground.

She whimpered in pain and shifted once they landed.

"Why did he?" Shade growled.

She looked up at him and wrapped her arms around her legs, "I don't know..." Her back hurt.

He loooked down at her. "I'll take you to the doctor."

She shook her head, "No... I just need to lay down... How far from the temple are we?"

"Not far." Shade said. He looked down at her.

She stood and hugged him, "Thank you for catching me..."

"nO PROBLEM." hE SAID.

She smiled and stepped back, "I'm going to walk, you can fly ahead if you want."

"Naw I'll walk with ya." Shade grinned.

She began walking, wincing a little with each step.

He followed behind her.

She sighed in relief when the temple came into view.

He followed behind, occasionally looking at the sky.
