I smelt the other wolf and took my chance , leaping out at the girl and roaring loudly. She screamed right as I barreled into and thrashed under my wait to no avail. I sank my teeth deep into her shoulder and heard Emmy run off. Grinning, I leaped off of her and Bolte into the woods at top speed after Emmy, laughing wickedly to myself and letting lose a loud hop of joy. "I'll h back kid! I'll be back!" I called behind me.

I clutched at my shoulder and cried out, thrashing around on the ground as ears poured down my cheeks. "Help!" I rasped, shivering.

I snarled and shifted, kneeling down. I pressed my hand to her shoulder. "We need to get you to a hospital." I dug my feel from my pocket and dialed 911. '911. State your emergency.' "Hi. I have a friend who was just attacked by a bear. It bit her shoulder and ran off. We're on Topeka Trail." Soon, there was a distant wailing which progressively became louder until an ambulance and two cop cars pulled up at the road. The cops came into the woods along with the EMT's who wheeled a gurney. They found us and hoisted Maria up onto the gurney.

I slapped at their arms, trying to get someone's attention. "Lily! I need lily!" I yelled, my eyes rolling wildly.

I trotted over, jogging next to them. "I'm right here."

"Be there..." I breathed, my eyes fluttering. "...when I wake up..." I'd never been more afraid and I had so many questions. Would I become a werewolf now??

I nod my head and slip off.

I disappear into unconsciousness, the black swallowing me and taking my pain for now.

I slip into the woods and disappear into the shadows.

I shift and race after him. I catch up and help him chase down the wolves.

"Ah great!" I curse and pour on more speed. "Run Emmy!" I to her and surge faster.

I hear Nile yell and surge on ahead of him. My strength is in speed and I can't in faster than most wolves., so instantly launch faster, kicking up sticks and leaves as I go.

I snarl angrily back and then yell to Emmy. "Remember what we did in Canada two years ago?"

"Yeah!" I call back to Nile.

"We gotta do that now!"

"Okay!"

I launch myself into the air and aim at a tree, shifting in mid-air. I land on the branch and grab the one above it to keep from falling.

I imitate Nile and land next to him.

I snarl down at them, my eyes still glowing red. "We did your human a favor!" I yell down to them.

I run harder and faster, snarling and snapping at their heels. I flank left and cut them off at the river.

"Did you not smell her depression? Did you not smell her self-loathing!? She needed something that would make her feel strong and invincible! She needed a new life!" I yelled down at them.

I shifted with a snarl, standing next to Ryder. "She didn't need that! The burden is too big for her to bear! She already suffers family troubles and depression. You did her nothing!" I spat angrily, my fists clenched by my sides. I jabbed a finger at them. "If I ever so much as smell the two of you within a 500 mile radius of this town, I swear I will hunt you down and kill you myself. Get out!" I snarled and shifted, slamming myself against the tree in which they were perched. The wood splintered and crashed down into the river. I snarled and snapped at them until they scrambled away.

Emmy and I leaped across the river to our territory and turned back snarling at them.

"Silence, twins!" yelled a majestic voice from behind us. We turned to see a tall and elegant Silver wolf walking towards us; our Alpha, Talla. She stepped up to the side of the river to look across at the other two werewolves. "What seems to be the problem?" she asked in her high, majestic voice.

I stood tobmatch her bight. She was lean and sleek, but I was wide and tall. I raised my head. "Two of your pack members have bitten one of the people in my town." I narrowed my eyes and met her gaze with that of stone. "I suggest that you keep them on your own territory from now on."
