Crash!
The sound of thunder slammed down from the eerie gray skies above. Cold rain poured from the clouds, their drops soaking the ground with large, clear drops. A harsh wind blew against the trees, swaying them dramatically with a eerie howl. Saying that this storm was bad, well, that would be an understatement. Deep within the dark forest, inside a group of trees and marsh, there were voices. Soft voices, and against the wind, it was even softer. One of the voices was that of a she-cat, high pitched with pure terror.
"How does it feel?" A harsh, raspy meow sounded. "To know your moment of death?" A tom stood over a trembling she-cat, his claws on her throat. Against the dark clouds-- Even darker with the night sky behind it, the tom was unrecognizable. The she-cat let out a shaky meow. "I-I'm not going to d-die.." She gasped out. "Y-You couldn't.. You wouldn't.." She didn't even know who this cat was-- She had been taking a nightly stroll when he had appeared. He had said only one thing: "I found you." She felt slightly guilty, at not taking the advice of her friends-- She had told them in the warriors den that she would just be right back-- That nothing would go wrong. So much for that...
She wasn't really going to die, was she? This cat, who she'd never seen before, wouldn't just kill her, right? He couldn't be... An assassin? What did she do that deserved such a fate as this? She squirmed under the cats weight, trying to get free of his claws. He growled and dug his claws in slightly, making the she-cat freeze with fear. "Don't try anything," He mewed menacingly. "You're dead anyway-- But anything funny with just make it more painful."
The she-cat's mind raced. She couldn't die! She had friends to get back too, she couldn't leave them! Especially not her younger sister-- Her mother had died not to long after the second litter of kits-- And her sister had been the only survivor out of three kits. What if this strange cat came after her next?
"Any last words?" The tom growled in her ear, his claws slowly slipping deeper into her throat.
The she-cat clenched her teeth. Was this really her last moment?
